I don't mind that plan, I don't think it's evil. I have no love lost for the cable companies. If Hulu wasn't such a trash UX/UI, I'd be just fine going with them. Other than antenna channels, I pretty much only watch their content anyway.
Yup. Them winning is better for us, it also knocks Texas out, but at the same time, I want to see then get absolutely run today.I hate Vandy, but it would be good for us for them to keep winning. We don’t have a signature win, and a 10-1 or 9-2 Vandy coming to Knoxville would help our playoff resume.
I have more than i had with Cable and it is still cheaper and feel no love for cable since they screw me on the price constantly raising it. Also, they had glitches with the picture all the time. Good riddance to a terrible product.I don't mind that plan, I don't think it's evil. I have no love lost for the cable companies. If Hulu wasn't such a trash UX/UI, I'd be just fine going with them. I don't care about the high costs, I care about the secret increases on my internet, the horrific customer service, the sleezy contract language where you have to read dozens of pages of fine print to avoid getting screwed, etc...Everyone’s hate for cable companies are misguided.
The reason your cable bill is so high is because of these contract carriage disputes where the content provider is black mailing the cable companies.
This all escalated when the Federal courts says the local over the air networks could not be on cable without cable paying to rebroadcast free over air stations.
You cable bill would not be so bad without the evil empires, all of them. Disney, Peacock, Paramount, Discovery, etc…
The cable companies would love to go alacart and allow you to decide what you pay for individually, but evil empires force bundling at high prices that no one wants.
True. Lesser of evils though. They're just a middle man taking waaaayyy too much margin to be a middle man. The content owners should be the ones making the most profit, but YTTV is charging $90 to pass along $20 of content that I want. They even said in their email "we will refund you $20 to make up for the Disney content you're not getting."You realize your sending a message to YouTube but Disney is the evil empire trying to blackmail them every contract to raise your price.
Fubo free trial is my temporary fix.Anyone figured out a fix for the youtubetv debacle? The ones that have the Disney bundle but can't watch live espn networks?
My sister said Sling TV has a daily package of $6. It doesn't have ABC but does have ESPN.
Also, she pointed out that she is watching the TX vs Vandy game on ESPN3. I tried it and it denied me on ESPN but offered up on ESPN3.

We don't need bundlers, just bypass the middle man and let me pay content owners directly for the content.
