Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Josh Elander just hired florduh's interim head coach to be an assistant...

oh and lousyanna state canned their AD
That idiot is the guy that hired both Jimbo Fisher and Brian Kelly and put them under those ridiculous contracts. Frankly I’m surprised he’s still alive.

Shut yo mouf!

Was Charlotte declared a disaster area from Helene? You might be able to get out of 10% of the 30%....

Edit- Nevermind. Has to be taken within 180 days of declaration.

Thanks Mojo for always dropping the accountant knowledge/help. Appreciate you bro.

Well, I should have looked it up. Turns out “Sodom on the Catawba” was so designated, largely due to the aforesaid river (Catawba) flooding.

Silly, silly. Living nearby, I can affirm that a disaster declaration had to be political; Mecklenburg Co. didn’t suffer nearly as much as the mountain counties.

Sodom on the Catawba...lmao. i am stealing that. Nice

I think we got this...especially since Hood isnt even on injury list and darkmode/nightgame etc...but my BVS is flaring up bad for the first time in a long while because EVERY national commentator on youtube that I listen to is taking VOLS and the points and that makes me nervous because historically thats when we get beat. Im bout to go all gas/what are brakes? Though since you're abnormally pumped for this one because that's the last straw for me.

We got this. With 2/3 of a starting defense. Dline gonna shine after mini slump (and carrying our D all year) and Joey Upgrade enters the Heisman race with national TV fireworks. GO VOLS

DARKMODE TIME!! GBO GBO GBO

@marcusluvsvols- You arent 55 yet are you?

No sir. Am 48 til March. Or forever i guess if I catch a stray down here in Sodom on the Catawba. Lmao. I already thanked you for your help as I am catching up in this thread this morning...but this is a great example. You were still thinking about my plight. A gentleman and a scholar I say. Much obliged.

Man, pick up lines have gotten weird.

😆. Great way to wake up this friday morning. Sleeping til 9 was nice too. Pops came thru surgery like a 78yo champ and should be out in a couple days. Has had smoking hot nurses too, good grief. We should have all been doctors, or at least male nurses. My herpes would have AIDS. They dont wear those tight pants for nothing you know...scrubs did NOT used to be worn cut like skin tight jeans. Even a decade ago. Just sayin'. Everything on Earth isnt going to crap...yet anyway.

@marcusluvsvols - Charlotte received major disaster declaration for Chantal (July). If you can weave together a ressonable story about how this might have impacted your prior employer (Cant work when its raining for days) and pushed them over the edge, you might be able to avoid the 10% penalty and spread the rest of the impact over 3 years.

To be blunt, this is a smidge aggressive. The timing sets up though since it was two weeks after the storm. You even made a comment on 7/21 about all the rain when you got laid off.

Talk with whoever does your taxes and knows your situation. This might be a smidge aggressive but you might have an argument here.

Either way, you wouldn't be avoiding taxes. You are spreading it out over 3 years. You would be avoiding the 10% penalty. You would need to file Form 8915-F.

Thanks again brother. Appreciate your help and our little PFPosse for always looking to help eachother when we can. Lots of good guys here IMO. Except for LG of course for obvious reasons. If he does move to Tennessee...even he could probably be redeemed someday. Maybe.
