McCoy practicing in pads yesterday per Nakos

I don't think this is the first time he's practiced in pads this season.
It's the first time he's done so and participated in team drills. Still no contact, but as I already said, Callahan says he doesn't necessarily have to have contact in order to play Saturday.

Callahan is wrong. We will not put McCoy out there for his first contact in 10 months to be in a game.

And thisnwhole board will turnon him the second he gets a PI
I don't expect him to play up to his full potential when he first comes back, and no one should expect him to. With that said when healthy he is 1st round draft pick, I just hope he don't rush it to come back.

I think it'd be great to get McCoy back for NMSU to knock off some rust, and then be full go for the Florida game. If we can survive this week, we'll be set up well for the stretch run.

McCoy listed as “out” on injury report. Hood not listed at all.

My personal opinion is that Hood had a very minor pull or strain and that him playing was never in doubt. I'm sure that Heupel was more than happy to let the rumors fly of him not playing, being out for the season, etc. Its obvious the Heupel likes keeping his gameday lineups close to his vest until he has to go public with them.

I know this is a big if...

If we somehow finish 10-2 and get to the playoffs would we have everyone back by then?

Terrible take, Redmond is pretty darn serviceable for a freshman going up against #1's in the SEC. Dude has helped save our season so far!
I agree that he has been serviceable for a Freshman. I would still take McCoy's 70% production over him, though. It's more to do with how good I think McCoy is than how bad Redmond is.

Redmond is going to be a very good player. I'd be surprised if he's not in the NFL one day. He's been thrown into the fire before he should have been and I think his confidence has been shaken some. But his future is bright. And yes, while he's had some bad moments, he's been pretty good for a true freshman. We're lucky to have him.
