Hiring Mason never made any sense. He’s not that much younger than Stock and in no world is going to light it up in the Boro. So what are you getting? Betting it all on the chance of regularly going 8-4 instead of 6-6/7-5?

I get that they probably thought a failed P4 coach isn’t going to leave them after having success. But you have to be pretty damn sure he will actually HAVE success. And hiring a dude who literally won 0 games in a season isn’t the floor you want.

Yes, i'm aware. Looked offspeed to me, usually a splitter drops off the plate. Seems like Ohtani was expecting a fastball, and Yesavage took something off it. He was waay behind on it.

Lost our QB, lost our AA running back, one returning starter on OL, lost half our WR room. CJH and staff have been unbelievable patching together an offense. It’s like they went to a pick-a-part junkyard and built a race car, a really fast race car.

what about the defense? new contract, recruiting supposed to be strength of team, finally have depth, springs practice reports they're really good.

Could've been a off speed pitch. I was watching the Lady Vols and then the Lakers game... I occasionally skip a game thinking it may get the mojo back... Seen highlights on MLB tonight this morning..

I tried to re watch. Couldnt see the delivery. Lost interest after that. Was sitting at a sports bar with my Dad, when it happened. So, really was out of corner of my eye.

Coach Ken DoNahum said it best “offense is about misleading people, fooling them,if you will. Defense is all about hitting the other guy so often and so hard, you change his attitude about playing football against you that day.”
We don’t have that attitude on this team, at least not in abundance. I’ve seen this type of defense at Tennessee(think Al Wilson and1998 D) that team was scary just standing on the sideline.
Carl Zander once got into the doghouse with CJM for calling out the lack of effort from the secondary, but it worked.
All this to say we don’t have an alpha dog leading and holding this defense accountable.

-didn’t have starting 2 DTs until Arkansas game
-only starting LB that’s SEC good has had turf toe all season
-we lost 4 defensive linemen to the NFL
-lost both starting CBs (NFL top round talent) to injury, second string CB to portal
-starting safety to NFL, second string safety to portal
-starting STAR to portal
