I, for one, simply cannot believe that the former QB that won a national championship, almost the Heisman, and has a Top 10, 35ppg offense every year knows what he is looking for and seeing when it comes to QBs and offense.

What scares me the most is lack of contain from our defense and Mateer is best outside the pocket. Not a good fit imo for our defense, now with that said we need our rushers to dominate against 2 freshman tackles.

I would have Spillman or Perlotte spy Mateer every single play.

I need the guy, but not at the cost of people thinking they can just show up whenever they want from the start.

There are 4-5 younger guys that want the job, but I went with a guy in his mid-30s, because he is pretty good at what he does (runs a framing crew).

10 minutes early is on time... On time is 10 minutes late... Leave the guy ass a sitting..if late on first day, the person will be late everyday..

Supply and demand. Skills can be taught and learned.

I'd be understanding if he called ahead of time, and gave a good reason. Could be an emergency, and wasnt able to call. Certainly would set clear expectations.
