Where we were bad last season was teams not missing the shots they got. They shot to high of a percentage even though we were usually getting more shots. We need to shoot the same percentage as the opponent while getting more shots of course that is a win if we don't let them free throw us out of it.

2012, you are on an impressive roll today with your well thought out responses. Clearly you have done your pre-season prep and are ready for the season. Hope our team is as well.

I would be surprised to see a good half court defense this early, as Coach first gets the team trained to do the fundamentals of her system that they are not used to. It can't help be better than last year's exhibition due to the athletes and defensive minded players we now have. I do hope the learning curve on defense will be faster than last year.

Exactly we give teams a lot more possions because we play so fast. Some teams may give say 40 possions and give up 50 points we give up 60 possions give up 60 points. That's better defense even though you're giving up more points. That's why you can't go by points allowed.
