I've enjoyed following that coaching search sinfully much. They are ready to revolt if it is anyone other than Kiffin. Fans attack anyone who suggests anyone who isn't Kiffin. All over Twitter, on all the boards.

As a coach, you have to always be working to avoid "This is THE year" conversations.

Dooley did it. Butch did it. Napier, Freeze, and Kelly all did it this year and all will be fired.

Heupel in his first year refused to embrace the idea that we were rebuilding. And the thing is, if you never call it a rebuild, you never have to declare that the rebuild is over.

Build a team that can compete for championships every year. Even if you can't, you should always frame the conversation like that as an SEC head coach.

First time seeing anything from the press conference.

I'd almost rather him say "we've got scheme problems and we're gonna make some major changes"

If you're gonna have serious problems going into November, you'd rather them not be "fundamental" problems.

Because the coaching is atrocious.

He needs to get this year over as quickly as possible and stay healthy. Hopefully the next coaches can deprogram whatever the hell Callahan did to him.

Yeah I made such a big deal about Boo staying at UT but now, don’t really give a sh**!🤷‍♀️

I used to defend him but being shortsighted might be looking at last year instead of the body of work.

I am ok. Thank you for thinking about me. I've just been down. Halloween was when we always celebrated having made it another year and the closer it gets the more it kinda levels me. We geared everything towards it and one of the last things he said to me when he was still in his right mind was "I'm not going to make it to Halloween am I?" I told him he would and at the time I believed he'd still be here even though I knew things were starting to change in ways that felt dire. I know the last thing I should be doing is withdrawing from social contact right now but knowing and doing are separate things.

I need to figure out some fun things I can do to get me out of the house and maybe something I can do at home for Halloween that will take my mind off everything. A few days ago (the 22nd) marked 2 months and I think I'm in the phase where it gets harder before it starts to get easier. Distractions are my best friend right now.
