My prediction, Kiffin will stay where he is and become the 2nd-highest paid coach in the SEC. I don't think there's anything compelling him to leave. I think he has better resources where he is than any job that could potentially open. But I have been wrong before. Just reading the tea leaves.

Well, yeah he does. Name one great coach that didn't. I get people are still mad at Lane and I don't blame them, but I got over that a long time ago and just try to look at things objectively. I am not telling anyone else how to feel, to be clear.

I really like Heupel. Think he can be at a championship level eventually but he might need to reevaluate some things within. Upgrade hire the best and roll on.

As long as Heupel’s teams play hard and don’t quit, and he keeps innovating like he has this year on offense, I’m for keeping Heupel - I have no desire to watch another rebuild

Vandy is going to beat us

We are going to beat Vandy by 10 points. They have only won one SEC game on the road. It was SC and they knocked SC qb out early in the game. They have only outgained LSU in offense. They beat Missouri(knocked out their starting qb as well) 17-10 and only had 265 total yards. The next few teams they play all have weaknesses. I hope they win them all bc it is going to be so much sweeter when we whip them.

Yup too much about personnel and multiple studs not playing. Now it's a bunch of guys that haven't played together much. Recipe for disaster.

They also need to get in the portal heavily on defense just to have all the experience and talent they can get in that room to go along with the current guys.

Play a simple defense
When we’re basic we do pretty good this year
Our blitzes and showing crap then trying to recover is where we forget how to cover and get killed
We do t have the discipline to recover

Heck if I know.

Might not care. Sitting ducks lead to reigned back funding. Better to rip the bandaid off and have a reason to ask for more money?

Or they are just crumbling under pressure and making life more difficult while they make straw grasping decisions to buy time.

Or everyone sees the silly contracts they’ve issued and thinking with the money they’ll save hiring a potential next Kirby smart and curt cignetti of the world (up and coming assistant coach), maybe it’s worth making the change and reallocating those dollars to NIL/recruiting.

I would hate to be one of the dozen power 4 programs looking for a new coach this year.
