Team is a reflection of the coach. With what I've seen, that's just not happening. Just need to hope we recruit guys who are hungry self starters, self motivated and disciplined. If that's their makeup, we good. If we're going to need to instill and develop those qualities, I have little hope for success.I’d like to see Heupel chew some asses sometimes when we give up touchdowns or make mistakes. Saban would agree!
I've seen worse from his defense. Having said that, I've had my fill of Boo Carter. It's clear this guy is killing time, but he's as good as gone. With effort like that, why are we robbing reps from the younger DBs to play him? What's the purpose? They have to know he's gone at the first opportunity. I know Redmond is having a hard time, and I'm sure the younger DBs will struggle as well, but once Nico left, we were in a kind of transition year anyway. We're not making the playoffs so play the younger guys and get them experience for next season. Sit Carter and send a message to that secondary that crap like Carter pulled or the laydown tackling of Turrentine won't be tolerated. Would it kill Heupel to show a little backbone and demand that we start to tackle properly and get a little discipline to our game? That was the worst defensive performance of Heupel’s tenure.
Agree. So tired of the recorded answers every week- but we got the dub so…Lots of coach speak. Lots of “uh”s. Swaying back and forth like a bloated weather balloon. Lots to “clean up”.
Good grief. I haven’t felt this frustrated after a win ever. I can see late stage Fulmer coming. Waddling on the sidelines, clapping his hands, occasionally grimacing.
I truly hope I’m wrong.
Not buying that the vast majority of VOLS would ever accept a certified morals and class optional leader on our sidelines, regardless of his X and O’s capabilities. Especially at a place where FOOL ME ONCE is clearly in play.Instead of wasting time with Jack Elonder, Danny White should be talking to a real coach like THE Lane Train, and gauging his interest in this job.
This week on the Blue Chip Breakdown they said that Boo is dealing with turf toe. I have not seen this stated anywhere else but it would certainly explain the drop in his speed and play.I've seen worse from his defense. Having said that, I've had my fill of Boo Carter. Then that begs the question why is he out there? Is a half speed Boo better than anyone else on the bench. I really hope that's not true. This week on the Blue Chip Breakdown they said that Boo is dealing with turf toe. Will be interesting to see if he screws Ole Miss his first real opportunity.
Did you see the halftime interview? He was pissed, caught himself about 15 seconds into the interview and changed his tone. He seems to have exceptional self control in public, I’d guess he chews some asses behind the scenes. You can get your point across without throwing a headset on the sidelines, and throwing temper tantrumsAgree. So tired of the recorded answers every week- but we got the dub so…
“A lot to clean up”
“ proud of the effort”
“ good to win on the road”
“ a lot to clean up”
