The Official #17 Tennessee @ Kentucky Game Thread, 7:45 PM ET, SEC Network

I check in on Arkansas State every now and then just for fun..and I see good ole Butch won't be in the running for the PSU or Florida gigs based in their performance. If he went 10-1 every year, even w that schedule it'd be one thing...but he's not.

Too much Tennessee for the kitty cats. Defense played a little better in the second half. Got some young players in tonight. Perlotte is going to be good. Banks loves playing standard 4 man front whether we’re in man or zone. The few times we brought 5-6 we either harassed him or stopped them. I don’t know why he didn’t mix it up more. There quarterback struggled much more under duress. We were very bland on D tonight and played to robotic in the first half.GBO

I haven’t watched Oklahoma this year, but you know if Venables has the people, he’ll come up with a plan for defense next week. I hope they can’t hear and I hope TN defense plays lights out. Here’s to a great week of prep 👍
they are very good. great defense. offense goes as mateer goes. he’s streaky but when he’s on he’s among the best

Not correct. I agree it was awful to watch, but we’ve definitely had worse in the last 5 years. Hell South Carolina was way worse…Missouri in 2023…there have definitely been worse.
SC yes but if our offense hadn’t of been so good tonight we woukd have given up 50 points to the worst offense in the SEC

So why are the announcers saying that A&M just gave LSU their worse lost at home by any team not named Alabama? A&M beat LSU by 24 points (49-25). In 2022, we beat LSU at LSU by 27 (40-13).
They would probably qualify their comment with ..... "Well, of course, we meant beating LSU on the road at night."

For some stupid reason, when you beat LSU football on the road during the day time, it doesn't count.

Random, but watching the ESPN highlights wondering when broadcast announcers started using the word "tuddys". I've heard it twice in 60 seconds. Not a fan.

Got some stuff to clean up, Heupel says.
Yep

Well, let's see if anything changes

I assume he's trying to publicly support the players . He could say , yeh we aren't doing a good job coaching right now. We gotta get it together, or something to that effect. He's too rah rah for his own good. There's a lot of ass dragging going on right now.

Lots of coach speak. Lots of “uh”s. Swaying back and forth like a bloated weather balloon. Lots to “clean up”.

Good grief. I haven’t felt this frustrated after a win ever. I can see late stage Fulmer coming. Waddling on the sidelines, clapping his hands, occasionally grimacing.

I truly hope I’m wrong.

I think he's purposely shrugging off judgement from fans and media types that have never played. I get it. I have a feeling we'll be more focused for OU.

Our corners are playing every snap. Wide receivers too on the other side of the ball. I'll take the W on the road and be happy all week. Bad tackling, though. Need to fix that.
Winning on the road is not easy. Look at Texas the last two weeks, and Bama this week. Good win, but with plenty to work on.
