Just how many scrimmages does the Lady Vols have?

Today is the last Fall Ball game. There will be an internal scrimmage next Thursday that will be open.

Anybody have any additional information on that last fall game. Stats or players that excelled in the game. Looks like we have some real challenges for positions this year Butts and Doyle at first for sure. I still think SS is up for grabs and one outfield spot.

I didn't go but will ask at tomorrow's scrimmage.

We have really good depth all around so there will be competition at all positions. We don't have the hitter reputations (yet) like we have had in the past years but having seen this team play several fall games, there are just as many players that can swing for power now than in past years. Emma, Ella, Elsa, Gabby, Taelyn, Sophia, Meredith, Maddi, Amayah and (I've been told) Makenzie have shown power. There were a ton of extra base hits in fall ball.

Pitching should be our strong suit. Everyone knows about Karlyn but Sage, Maddi and Erin are excellent pitchers and we haven't seen Peyton pitch yet.

Thanks for the picture.This will the only fall game I have missed. If you are there could provide the lineups. I think we are still deciding 3rd, ss,and 1st.The other positions seem to be pretty well decided.

The only action other than pitching was Elsa taking Karlyn’s fast ball to center for a 2 run HR.

Was 5-2 after 5 when I left. Karlyn gave up the 2-run HR to Elsa and after 3 gave way to Kailee and Maddi pitched well and Erin replaced her. I think Emma could be our SS depending on Bella’s return, I think Maddi will be at 3B if not pitching and I think Ella and Makenzie will be on the right side. Elsa threw out Saviyah and Gabby trying to steal. Our catching is set for 4 years! Meredith also vying for PT. Team has some nice depth. But we ride with 23.

9-3 last I looked. Scoreboard kept changing scores so I don't know for sure. I think they were training a new scoreboard operator. We were playing ourself so scores are misleading anyway.

What is the rule in softball pitchers can hit I think. If not they play dh and still can pitch. Really don't know this rule in softball.

We are so, so deep at catcher and all 3 have big bats.

What is the rule in softball pitchers can hit I think. If not they play dh and still can pitch. Really don't know this rule in softball.

Pitchers can hit for themselves and the coach choose to use no DP, or a DP can hit for the pitcher or any other position player.
