'26 UT WR Salesi Moa (Tennessee commit)

I believe his brother plays for Michigan State

Hope his dream to play in SEC will win out. Kid will be an absolute stud, In this offense. Understand wanting to play with you brother, but in terms of everything else, to play alongside King, Keys, and Brandon. Whew, that would be a mistake.

Time will tell, but overall their performance has been abysmal.

But please, there is a certain subset of Vol fans who are so confident in their own superiority that they seem to resort to ad hominem attacks much like taking a drink of water when thirsty. The rest of us only wish we had your greatness.
Their performance has not been abysmal. And after y’all fired all 3 this offseason (or before), all 3 have performed well, both as coaches and recruiters.

You don’t get to take a fake victory lap after being proven wrong, rewrite history, then play snarky victim after being so confidently incorrect.

You know how dumb you look so often? Smith dropped 3 of the first 4 passes thrown to him this season and still is one of the leading WR in the country in drops, Williams from Bama is also, guess maybe they suck and should have played safety or another position. Lord knows they will never make it in the NFL as WR’s with those dropsies. By the way, the top 3 last year in SEC (one was top in NCAA) was Smith drafted and playing for Jets, Williams and Brazzel.
Matthews has almost 10 drops…

WR room next year:
Staley
Matthews
Smith
RadJax
Dodson
Jefferson
Keys
King
Bey

Moa and Wyatt need to play DB

Returning DBs assuming Hood and McCoy go to draft, and Boo transfers:
Gibson
Redmond
Wright
Poteat
Farooq
Beasley
Walton
Wright is also gone.
Don’t forget to add
Baylor DB/WR
Smith (Jackson)
Anderson (Greeenville)
From the HS ranks.

You forgot Tim Merrit. Very athletic freshman in 2025. Just needs reps and the weight room.

Regardless we could use 1 safety and 1 CB from the Transfer Portal.

And probably a Star, especially if Jourdan Thomas’ knee isn’t what it used to be.

Have you heard that or just speculating?

Nerve damage. Still has drop foot bc of it.

Thomas tore his ACL, LCL and PCL in his knee. He tore his hamstring tendon off the bone and the peroneal nerve in his leg — leading to a condition that likely ended his football career ahead of what was poised to be a breakout season.

Sad.

Yeah, because Pope, Halzle, and Elarbee have certainly proven those fans right and Josh wrong for keeping them. 🙄

God, this fan base says some of the dumbest **** in order to practice quantum negativity.

Are we not still In the bottom 10% in drops? Also I think it’s possible that Halzle got a lot smarter with the arrival of Jones/ Littrell and Chaney. I can’t prove that but I don’t think he went to bed Randy Sanders and woke up as David Cutcliffe.

He’s also running Heupel’s offense.
He also became the OC after teams adjusted to Heupel’s offense, which Golesh didn’t have to deal with.
He also wasn’t the OC when Hooker was QB, as Golesh was. When Golesh was OC and Milton was QB (early 2021), the offense wasn’t good.

But yes, Heupel, Halzle, Litrell, etc. all collaborated to adjust this season. That’s how coaching staffs work. Those changes and better QB play are the biggest reason for improvement this year.

No drops last night. But drops are an individual thing. You don’t coach hands. Players work the jugs machine to develop hands. Pope has coached this WR group very well and has recruited an incredible WR class for 2026. If you think other schools aren’t going to come for him, you’re wrong. He’s gonna get a raise.

Those are all true. I want to see what happens next year when he’s not coaching a 25 year old QB. He may coach a 4K passer next year. But I want to see it. True or not he’s a victim of the perception that Heupel doesn’t make much effort to search for coaching talent. I’m more than willing for him to prove it.
