Tennessee's biggest problem is SoS

OU is a toss up to me and if Tenn struggles against UK I'll probably pick OU if they have a strong showing vs the rebs
Tennessee plays different at home. Georgia is the only team to beat Heupel at home since his first year on the job and we SHOULD have beaten Georgia this year. We can easily handle OK at home even if it's a close game.

if you had asked me in the off-season what I thought would happen in the second half of our schedule I was very worried about the road games at Kentucky and Florida because Heupel has a bad way of losing on the road. but now knowing that those teams are complete garbage I have every expectation that we beat them.

ironically and I can't even believe I'm saying it out loud but Vanderbilt is the biggest worry 😂 only because Diego Pavia is in fact the devil.

but I will always expect the Vols to #1 win at home unless it's Georgia and #2 never lose to Vanderbilt. throw on top of this that we are favorites in every game and I think it's reasonable to expect 10-2 for the season.

So Savannahfan pretty name by the way that’s my daughters name! What is wrong with wishing and hoping? I wish I would win the powerball and hope I live another day! I also would like to see Tennessee win another national championship before I die and hope my investments double over night🙏🏻see life is all about hoping and wishing 😃
Hope she is as pretty as the my town I chose to use as a posting name. By the way love your post!;)

I expect UF to turn a corner and begin to show some life.

Also, I don't believe UT can win down there. Even with an interim coach at the helm, CJH will lose this one and the boo birds will be flying soon after.

The Vol's SOS is 21, according to Sagarin. This compares to OSU at 20, Oregon at 35, Indiana at 49, and Oklahoma at 44. The Vol's problem is that they haven't won either of the games that would have given them a marquee win.

exactly. you can't claim strength of schedule as an asset if you don't beat the teams that are primarily responsible for that strength of schedule.

to date MSst, Arkansas, Syracuse, UAB and ETSU is hardly an impressive resume and Kentucky isn't going to help either.

Our only hope of cashing in on the SoS argument will be beating Oklahoma and Vanderbilt assuming Vanderbilt doesn't implode before we play them.

and no, just because some of you have BVS, beating Florida would not be impressive this year. it's just not. a sub .500 team with no head coach. If we lose this game we don't even deserve the Dukes Mayo Bowl.
