The ability for state and local to get involved is up to the federal government. Let's just put it this way, the U.S. really doesn't acknowledge Area 51 officially although they have released documents via foia acknowledging it to a degree. If a worker gets hurt on Area 51, you should see everything that has to happen to just adjudicate that. And if you think Area 51 is the only one, I have a White House to sell ya.

„Decent percentage of Americans“ does not equal a majority.
We have these things called „elections“. You know, democracy and all that.
Your side got defeated soundly. Cry and have tantrums all day if you wish. But Trump has three more years. Maybe try fielding a candidate people actually LIKE next time.
Trump is indeed a very flawed individual to whom I have no personal fondness. What does it say about the democrats that they have lost 2 out of 3 elections to someone so disagreeable?

I don't understand these "No Kings" protest, are they protesting just TRUMP or all political sides?

If they're protesting just "Trump"....... if he was king there would not be any protestors, if he was Hitler there would not be any protestors.
