I think ultimately as long as Elander can successfully convey his vision he’ll get the nod. It’s got DW hire written all over it. Younger, energetic, exciting brand of ball. No idea how analytics focused he is but that’s also something DW values.

But the names are fun to talk about.

I would love to know what the friction was between Tony and DW, since that might give some insight into whether Elander has a chance. I agree though, he certainly seems like a DW choice.

Completely uninformed random thought, but I've wondered if DW might have not appreciated the "bad boy" vibe as much as fans. Given how much negative press has been generated around Tennessee over the last 10 or 20 years, he might see it as counter to his effort to clean up the brand. If it were something like that, it could certainly have an impact on Elander's chances.

So...let me get this straight...you are excited that we aren't going to be as successful? I know you will say that is not what you meant, but in essence..it is what you said.

I'm not excited...I am pissed. Stupid off the wall like this and the way Kiffin got the USC job and left, which nuked the program and screwed us over badly for a decade...only happens to Tennessee...what in the hell are the Giants thinking?...this has never been done for very good reasons, but if it's going to be done, it will get done to us...every freaking time.

How many rules are there in CFB because we got screwed over?...I'm nit exaggerating. It is surreal how much weird off the wall negative happens to us.

It is tiring...and the cynicism is taking over my heart.

Just take a breath and find something else to fill the time other than worrying about college sports. I make custom art frames in my free time. Pickleball is pretty fun too. It's getting chilly, maybe make a good crockpot stew?

Good free article on Florida alum Chris Doering's comments on Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss and the Florida job. It's funny everyone in the media is trying to tell Florida fans they aren't as good of a job as they think they are but they are wholly incapable of actually accepting it. I'm going to enjoy watching who they end up with.

We really didn’t play that bad, considering it was on the road at night. With my moderately rainbow filtered sunglasses, I think we win that game without the catastrophe at the end of the half.
