Championship coaches get better and better and their teams get better, call it however you like, but he’s in year 5 and he hasn’t and that’s a fact. And his game management and clock management sucks nuts all too frequently. Maybe I’m too greedy, but I’d like championships and maybe beating a rival on the road once in a blue moon.
lol, we are definitely better than we have been. and most of the places we are worse has a reason.
OL play is miles better, even with the musical chairs bs against Bama, this is the best OL we have seen under Heupel.
WR play is better even with a bunch of first time starters with drop issues.
LB play is better. yeah its not great, but its better, if you aren't seeing improvement you aren't paying attention.
QB play is definitely better.
RB play hasn't missed a beat.
DEs are still good and borderline great, but not getting the help they need, see CB and DT below.
CB play in the past was atrocious, the only reason we are bad this year is because we lost both starters for the season. No team is going to look better after that. and even still CB play in '25 looks better than any CB play we have had except for in '24.
similar story on DTs, we are worse because of injuries. Arkansas was the first game both starters played. and I am pretty sure Hobbs wasn't even good enough to start.
TE play took a step back, not really sure what the problem is there, but sure FAHR Heupel.
safety has been the only consistent weakness. but given the improvements we have seen elsewhere I am not overly worried.
