He is above everyone as the AD. I think Tony has received everything he has ask for and he would agree. From listening to Tony in interviews he seems to dislike the state of college athletics where recruits come in with their hand out asking what the pay is. I think he sees that as a huge issue because college baseball is not a revenue generating sport. Its become a question of how much you are willing to lose to have a top 5 baseball team.

Are you sure about that? Baseball generated $9.6M in revenue last year vs $3.9M for LVs. Baseball was 4.1% of overall revenue while LV Basketball was 1.7%. Football was 63.6% and basketball was 11.7%.

You also have to account for how much investment it took to receive that revenue. Coaches salary players tuition and support. I'm sure there's a way to clear this up. Most important part would be earnings for each individual player . Also the amount of work and time each player has to invest to be part of each team.

LV Basketball lost $7M vs baseball losing $3.7M last year. Rosters are 15 and 35 respectively.

I don't trust any college's books when it comes to sports, and I have a hard time believing that a well-attended SEC baseball team is truly losing money, especially considering the future of TV rights and the exploding popularity of college baseball.

Also explains why CTV and Sexton are likely fighting for a larger portion of of Rev share bucket. I’m sure they want to be 3rd not 4th. Or, at least tied for 3rd.

How much bonded debt is there on LNS compared to TBA? Surely TBA has been paid off for years.

With a huge caveat I rarely watch the Lady Vols, they play in a facility with far more seats. There’s more of an opportunity to increase revenue with a basketball program with more seats to fill then there is with the baseball program.

I think this is point upon which the deal turned. LNS hard revenue is close to being at max while TBA is basically an un tapped well.
