Since there no longer seems to be a cap on coaches, whether Banks leaves or not, we should go out and hire a quality safeties coach this off-season. It's obvious we need help at the position.

Golesh isn’t doing as well at usf as Heupel did at ucf. Puts things in perspective.

Also, Golesh would have the same struggles at a p5 school that Heupel is having.

It would be hard to tell your DC who Heupel calls the head coach of the defense that he needs a full time safeties coach when that is his position because it isn’t performing well. They hired a former NFL DC as an analyst to help and I’m not sure if it is. Could be a talent issue which someone needs to address in the portal. That would be my fix if he stays that Heupel say hey we have to get better back there and quick with talent.

Heupel inherited a UCF team that had just gone undefeated. Golesh inherited a team that had won something like 3 games combined over two seasons. Wildly different scenarios.

This is not me saying Golesh is better than Heupel, just that it’s not a 1-to-1 comparison.
