I have been saying that repeatedly but the response is well several recruits/commits speak highly of Elander.... Thats great if they speak highly of Elander but they did not commit to Elander - it's freaking Tony Vols they have come here for!

TV is definitely the closer. Elander can definitely coach and recruit but Tony is definitely the draw .

Bandwagon fan here. Baseball isn’t interesting enough to ME for me to watch unless we are good and the stakes are high.

I've always loved baseball but lost interest in MLB and didn't watch much UT baseball until TV came to town. He brought me back to the game. So if that makes me a bandwagon fan so be it.

I find it hard to believe we brought a player in under false promises and can’t deliver the NIL we promised. If so, that doesn’t just affect baseball it affects all sports and reduces trust in our athletic department. That seems like BS.

No one is saying that Tony isn’t a commodity. He is, and I’m not surprised he’s being pursued, even if it’s unprecedented. The issue is whether or not there are factors that have created an atmosphere where Tony is open and even inviting interest. More importantly, whether those factors are directly attributable to the Athletic Director. White made a conscious decision with apportioning revenue sharing money away from baseball and toward women’s basketball. That’s a fact. The previous tensions between the two are not new. Do I think Danny flung open the door? No. If Danny White opened that door even an inch, then he he’s made a colossal mistake and needs to go.

Understand, but could it be that maybe TV has always wondered if he could make it in the MLB and has nothing to do with factors by UT (staff) ? Saban , Meyer, Spurrier, and Carroll all thought they could do it.

Don't think that is true. Haven't you noticed the prices of everything since COVID-19 ? There spending in the neighborhood of 115 mil on the baseball stadium. Millions on the football stadium and all the other facilities for updates and repairs. Just go to the grocery store most things have doubled in the meat section. Hate to think where we would be had the gasoline prices had gone up as much as everything else. As long as there's waiting list for season tickets prices will continue to rise. But there is a limit to everything just ask NASCAR they made most people not care anymore with all the changes and prices.

While some don’t like women’s basketball, it’s still our most successful sport by a wide margin and it’s not even close. Summitt has more NC’s than any coach in any sport in SEC history. I respect the hell outta that.

I believe there's a lot of Blue hairs pushing to make sure the Girls are top dog.
Pat was fantastic. That era has passed and the likelihood of being on top again in wbb is pretty slim.
