If Golesh gets it we are doomed. Im not a Heupel hater at all but its starting to feel like we’ve reached or ceiling. I hate to see anyone get fired but if you ask me today if I’d rather have Golesh or Heupel I honestly think I’d rather have Golesh.
Why are we doomed? Even if they hire Nick Saban, we play Florida every other year now. Only once every 4 years in the Swamp. This hire doesn’t affect Tennessee any more than the hire made by Auburn or LSU or Arkansas, etc.

I'll throw a name out there. Tim Banks. We won't have to pay a buy out and CJH won't have to fire him so he can still be the "good guy". He can take Willie with him and we can hire someone who can actually coach cornerbacks.

FL is a pressure packed job. Been a coaching graveyard for several yrs now. Kiffin has it made at Ole Miss. Unless his ego gets in the way he should stay. IMO all the coaches listed from Franklin on down would benefit from taking a shot there.

Florida can’t afford to miss on another one or their program is screwed. Kiffin just put out that “I’m not really such a dbag/I love Oxford” thing on ESPN so I’d say Kiffin screws over Ol Miss and bails for FL
Not unless he coaches his way out of the playoffs. That is what people seem to be missing. A HC in the playoffs isn't switching jobs. It just isn't happening.

I don't see Franklin coaching next year with that massive pile of guaranteed money sitting there. I think he takes 1-2 years off to let everything cool down before getting back to coaching.
Eh, he says he wants to coach again immediately. I think he gets snatched up quickly.

Here is the crazy thing about all the coaches openings….Why would any coach still in CFP hunt especially someone like Lame rip the heart of their current team out and throw away their CFP spot at before they are out of CFP hunt?

How much money would that take and what would that say about that coach?

FYI….I realize the Lame hate will follow but it is a serious question.
Lane would do it if he thought it was a better job. Florida has some serious leadership issues which will make some pass on that job. LSU comes open I would imagine a lot of people would want that job. Texas also could come open if Sark continues to underachieve.
