Agreed but supposedly Posey has agreed for CTV to bring Sean McCann and Q with him. McCann is CTVs right hand man and specializes in analytics, scouting, and video coordinator. McCann is behind the scenes but a huge part of TN’s success.

Oh yeah. My grandfather was a huge Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale fan.. Dodgers were his team and like things go in life , my father and I followed in his footsteps.. I played all the way through high school. I was taught by my father how to throw a 12-6 Curve ball at the age of 8.. I love all sports but if football and baseball are on at the same time , I watch baseball..

If he’s not taking the job, it’s not really “news” then as far as the major leagues are concerned. So, if MLB is asking the Giants to delay an announcement then that probably doesn’t mean good things for us.

I'm honestly a little surprised by the interest from the Giants side...CTV won't get to use his greatest strength (roster management, recruiting), and his biggest weakness is his in-game managing/decisions

He basically promoted Joe Kirt who is in year 3 and is basically faltering towards the end of the year & has the personality of paint drying

You aren't the only one...i'd make the same choice... and some friends and I have discussed the exact reasons why.

LNS (at least up until the 2025 season)...was the closest thing to those days in Neyland and TBA in the 80s and 90s. There's still at least a little shred of it in there.

You all keep saying "basilio said this" and "basilio said that" but everything he said about how the AD has prioritized womens basketball over our baseball program is the worst kept secret in knoxville. If you hadn't heard that before, you just dont talk to the right people

This is when I bring the garage tv in so I can have football on mute below the Dodgers game on the main

Well it couldn't have been that much, we just had the #1 recruiting class in the country and baseball and right now is #3 for next year.

everything big going on at UT sports or academic has Randy Boyd's hand prints all over it.

I'm not out to crush DW but acting like hes the second coming of Jesus Christ AD's is dumb. A dozen AD's could come in and keep the train rolling with Randy in charge.

Have had lots of injuries the last 3 weeks or so... But yes they are coming great recruiting class coming in and young freshman class going to be fire..

Danny White is not Jesus. He’s still really good.

A dozen AD’s is only 12 AD’s. A very limited number with how many AD’s there are. And it’s a silly argument, because other ADs did not do anything close to what Danny has done with Boyd in his current position.

Edit: and this does not mean Randy isn’t a huge part of it, because he is. Both can be good!

I’m not going to lie, I did not keep up with Tennessee baseball at all before TV was hired. And if he leaves…I will 100% still be keeping up with and watching every Tennessee baseball game that I can. I am so very thankful to him for that. I look forward to baseball season just about as much as I do football season now. They’re 1a and 1b for me. But if he leaves it will be probably the biggest disappointment that I can remember as a Tennessee fan in a long long time. Tony is not Tennessee baseball just like Pat isn’t Lady Vols basketball but they’re both as close as you can get imo.
