Almost a massive screw job by the officials. If they don’t screw up the clock on the Hail Mary, FSU likely doesn’t get another play off. But they had to pause and rest the clock, so it gave FSU time to get another snap off.
The three second rule is for spiking the ball. There have to be at least three seconds on the clock for you to be allowed to spike the ball.That was definitely weird, he caught it with 2 seconds and then was tackled. I could have sworn they put in a rule a few years ago that there had to be at least 3 second left to get off another play or something like that, similar to college basetball having the rule that under 3 seconds you can't catch and shoot an inbound pass you can only tip it.
I also thought they were going to screw them on the replay, when it was clear to me no angle showed him clearly breaking the goal line so the game should be over. I was expecting them to say he did.
