The Official #11 Tennessee @ #6 Alabama Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

We beat Georgia with a kick
We are playing Bama in Tuscaloosa and keep it a close game if not for a back breaking pick 6 with no time left in the 1st half.

Maybe not in the same tier becuase we make mental mistakes. But still a team capable if beating either team on a nuetral field if we are locked in.
If frogs had wings ……..

You mean to tell me that in this league of “football”. You think a team should not have at least 2 deep at a position that actually knows what football is. I could get a guy from the stands to play more disciplined within the scope of the position play than the players out there. The sh@@ they were doing is taught out if you in middle school dude its not rocket science.
I agree with what you say. These DB's and coaching are as lost as a ghost in a hailstorm. The freaking tackling and sometimes the will to make a stop is mind boggling

The sooner we all realize we are not a championship (football) program the better off we will be. We won’t make the playoffs this yr - even at 10-2. The SEC won’t get five teams imo. If they do, there will be 1-2 teams ahead of us imo.

But, we are not consistently in the same class as GA, Bama, Oregon, Ohio state and others. Indiana would blow us out this yr.

We beat bama at home but lose by 2-3 scores on the road. GA was close loss this year, but they would beat us by 2-3 scores in Athens imo.

Our offense struggles on the Rd. And the D is putrid, esp. on the road.
What’s your suggestion? New coach?

I know it wouldn’t be the entire staff. I’m asking if you think Heupel will really pull the trigger when he has never shown otherwise?
Assume he did. Let’s say he replaces Banks and Martinez. Who’s beating down the door to join his staff? If I’m a successful DC, I’m skeptical. That leaves retreads and first time coordinators

Going to be hilarious when Alabama loses. That team did very little to win like that. The media propping Simpson up with the "cerebral" bs in attempts for Heisman favor will make it all the funnier.
They may squeak into the playoffs. But that's as far as they're gonna go. They got problems, serious problems.

No I don't think he will. But in a weird twist I'm NOT a fan of traditional HC, OC, DC scenario. In fact I'm VIOLENTLY against it. That aside...no, CJH will not deviate from the one thing that's holding him him back professionally. He could prove us wrong...but so far hasn't.

Didn’t realize we had so many injuries at WR and basically run very game with same three guys and no rest.

The thing is college football has changed. There are very few teams (if any) that have strong defenses. Even with low scoring games you see teams that do not have trouble moving the ball. We had 409 yards of offense. We stopped ourselves - it wasn't really Bama that was stopping us.

And if you play and lose 11 games, each by one point, how many did you win?

Funny thing is before season started 90% of this board was calling 9-3 a good year this year and the only two games we’ve lost were predicted and occurred. If we win out which is highly possible, we have a better season than most weee conceding to

While I agree we play way too ugly, we are right where we thought we’d be.
