The Official #11 Tennessee @ #6 Alabama Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

You’re not wrong on all fronts, the question is, do you trust him to do that? I’ll believe he fires and makes serious hires when I see it. Let’s start there.
Yes... we're not talking about the entire staff, thankfully....BUT we are looking at getting rid of underperforming elements. When is the last time anyone said the secondary was a strength? Or the overall defense outside 2024? It's actually natural to have attrition by firing and rehiring.

Vol fans, as long as we continue going to Neyland, continue supporting the Program with our dollars, and throwing out excuses for losing, expect no changes. When the MONEY starts dropping, then White will be forced to do something. With the NIL, there is absolutely no excuse for not being in the Playoff conversation every year, UNLESS you don't have the Coaches to get you there.

I have heard enough of how great a coach Heupel is / truth is / he is not a great coach.

Illegal procedure penalties are an everyday deal for his offense and Banks as a defensive coordinator sucks - last year was by far the exception for Banks.

Undisciplined teams year after year. Yeah Heupel is better than Dooley, Gump Boy and Jones, but that doesn’t make him reallly good.

If Heupel doesn’t improve he will be fired sooner than later.

Plenty of blame to go around in this one, but Joey picked the wrong game to make some critical mistakes that absolutely killed us and put us in the hole.m. Defensive line didn’t get home and the back half of our D got middle schooled by the Bama recievers with poor coverage and even worse tackling. That said… this defensive coaching staff needs some changes.
I love JA. He definitely picked a bad game to have his worst game of the year. That being said, he battled. Receivers didn’t help him much all night. I loved how we came out in the second half and didn’t go away. This team has really good makeup, just struggled in high leverage moments. And that is typically the last step to be taken in a rebuilding effort on the way back to week-in/week-out basis.

I know it wouldn’t be the entire staff. I’m asking if you think Heupel will really pull the trigger when he has never shown otherwise?

That’s football. Good teams with good coaching doesn’t make those mistakes. Same penalties every weak. False starts. Can’t line up correctly. Same weak ass defense. Same abysmal play calling. Can’t make the plays that fall in your lap. Fumble could’ve been a scoop and score. Didn’t take advantage of any breaks and they’re weren’t many. You can see where we had opportunities and now you have to ask yourself why we didn’t take advantage of them.
Pound for pound a disciplined team would have actually spanked bama pretty good tonight. We pretty well moved the ball at will most times. Just ill timed mistakes we shouldn’t be making at this point on both sides of the ball. And I never felt we played our offense like we have all season.

100% agree
You mean to tell me that in this league of “football”. You think a team should not have at least 2 deep at a position that actually knows what football is. I could get a guy from the stands to play more disciplined within the scope of the position play than the players out there. The sh@@ they were doing is taught out if you in middle school dude its not rocket science.

The sooner we all realize we are not a championship (football) program the better off we will be. We won’t make the playoffs this yr - even at 10-2. The SEC won’t get five teams imo. If they do, there will be 1-2 teams ahead of us imo.

But, we are not consistently in the same class as GA, Bama, Oregon, Ohio state and others. Indiana would blow us out this yr.

We beat bama at home but lose by 2-3 scores on the road. GA was close loss this year, but they would beat us by 2-3 scores in Athens imo.

Our offense struggles on the Rd. And the D is putrid, esp. on the road.

Other than all that, we’re pretty damn good
