Defense is bad. Angles are terrible and tackling technique is awful. That’s on this defensive staff, but mostly the HC. Josh just isn’t interested in defense. That’s why Banks will stay here till Josh leaves.

I'm the same. I learned the hard way, defending the status quo is NOT good. If you care about your player(s) then your #1 focus is to have the best coaches you can get. That's YOUR JOB. And it's not always pretty. A healthy turnover in staff is one indication (not in numbers, but position, etc.). Even doing it and missing still shows commitment.

CJH has never given me that vibe, not unless he's done it out of pure survival. Like revamping his offense this year. I suspect he needs help...and isn't.asking for it. Danny White could help.

Idk if I trust Danny to help after today.

I just don't feel the same about these games anymore. Disgusted we show up unprepared every damn road game. I believed Heupel could deliver, he just doesn't have it and will never have a disciplined football team. There is some merit to laziness and appearance imo. Anyway maybe he will figure it out.

Altho we've progressed, we are not on the top teams' level. They are more physical and more athletic. Better coaching would close the gap a little I think.

Yes, that was 7 points - which takes it down to 10. If we had scored that would have been either a 7 or 3 difference. Then there is no doubt that the passed FG's would have been attempted.

Our WR core is terrible. We never have a complete game from the group, 1 comes to play and the rest have stone hands.

17 point loss. And we served up 14 points on a silver platter and possibly 21 that had nothing to do with playing at Bama.

Bad pass for a pick 6.

3 15 yard defensive penalties on same scoring drive.

The 15 yard potential loss that we missed 4 plus tackles on for a 25 yard first down and eventual score when the drive should have stopped.

Plus drive killing mistakes on Atleast two drives we were driving strong. The snap that shouldn’t have been snapped.

The reality is we took a potential 14 point win and choked on a 17 point cigar.

The play call at the end of the first half was so JV. Everyone in the stands knew you were passing and you thought play action would fool them….absolute garbage.

Play action only works if you are running the ball successfully.

I’ve heard that phrase after every TN post game interview “ proud of our effort but e ended to CLEAN up some things.” At some point, you have to get it done. His teams have always struggled w penalties- always/ from day one when he got his first head coaching gig.
