There really was no point in a play action, they knew what we were doing. But also Joey under threw that or it was prob a TD.

Right. All that did was make things tougher for Joey. Everyone knows you’re passing. Just line up and make the read. If it’s not there throw it away. 16-10 is much different than 23-7

Came to this conclusion as well. I love CJH but I am not sure he is a big game coach..

He might just be the Volunteer version of Mark Richt. Great guy. Runs a clean program wins 9 or 10 games consistently but coaches to conservatively to win the big games. We shall see how the second half goes. At least it will not be very stressful as I expect us to lay down after Bamas opening drive. But they will probably play great and lose in OT with another shoulda, woulda, coulda but didn’t. I fully expected a TD and hoping to get 2 point conversion to tie it up. Oh well. Go Big Orange.

I disagree.
On the road, in an obvious passing situation, a QB that got his @$$ handed to him on a targeting no call, you take the 3, go to the half down 6, dial up some defense and try to take the lead.
Instead, we are now in a huge hole.

And they might not have had to settle for 3. They left a couple plays on the field.
