Though it’s been many years since I was in the game having previously worked for a few different MLB organizations, it’s very difficult for me to see how this works in a franchise like SF. There’s a lot that doesn’t translate from what he’s done here to the pro game, so from that perspective it’s just difficult to appreciate this on the front end. And that’s even before we talk about the fact he’s never seen how such an organization works from transaction and roster rules to minor league operations just to name a couple. However, Tony is a leader and a winner even if in his own unique way, so I certainly won’t doubt him or the possibility that he could be very successful.
