Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

This is random but does Joe Tess drive anybody else crazy. He screams like every other play is the greatest play in the history of sports. I usually roll with announcers but he grates on every nerve in my body. I did recently hit mute.
Absolutely. If he did that for the dozen or so major plays, he'd be great. But he does it 50+ times a game.

Also, Tony says family is most important thing to him. Cant imagine him making Greg fly across country; all things being equal.

that said, the money better be there or hes gone.
I just think it is silly.

You're gonna pay him a crazy amount of money. And for what? If you're the Giants, what exactly do you see in how Tony has been successful and believe will translate?

Completely different game. Like I said before, it's a Ted Lasso hire.

From Tony's perspective, I get it. I think it's pretty stupid from the MLB perspective, and I think, at best, it is just a waste of money. But there's 30 teams and even if it is a stupid idea, you only need one to buy into it, so...

Oh wow! Who is that? Is this new screw you crew that the SEC is sending out to call everything in Bama’s favor, or is the SEC feeling the pressure from last week and sending out a neutral crew to call a fair game?
That was on Duckduckgo browser's search assist. I have no idea if it's even true. I can't find it anywhere else. Sally is probably lying to me

I can’t completely disagree. He has games and moments where he looks spectacular. Has games and moments where he looks awful. I don’t hold anything against any player until Billy Napier is gone.

That’s fair. Napier gone for sure this weekend?

Just checked in and saw the Tony V news. Apparently Basillio saying DW and CTV have a strained relationship.
Basillo just says ****.

But that said, it would make sense. You're running the best baseball program in the country, and you're the third sport priority at your own school.

That's not a Tony problem or a Danny problem, that's just the reality of the situation.

From my perspective, I obviously prefer all our programs win. Obviously. But given the choice between a good baseball team and, idk, two top 100 football recruits... Give me the football recruits. JMO.

Seems like his strength is recruiting a superior roster. Not sure he's going to be a good pro coach.

He’s a motivator. Give him young guys and they’ll play like their hair is on fire. Wouldn’t love him with a veteran roster but also wouldn’t suggest he won’t find a way to be successful in any situation. He’s a winner.
