I'm feeling good about this Saturday

I'm 100% numb for this game. Been a Vol fan my whole life and us winning in Tusksareloosa happens as often as, as often as....... Hmmm, let's just leave it as not very often.

Go Vols - give it your all!

Heupel's road struggles and the defense are enough to bet against the Vols this week. The refs won't do them any favors down there either. We'll have to see a different version of Tennessee this week to win this game.

Im not so sure about them winning in Tuscaloosa Saturday. The defensive secondary is so beat up with even opposing RBs looking like Heisman candidates with the gashing runs. Its not just the passing being bad. Things were better as a whole on the defensive end last year. Theyre not as lucky this year. Im glad theyre 5-1 at this point so things could be a lot worse. It could be 6-0 without a missed field goal.

The rest of this schedule is going to be a test.

I’ve felt good about the game twice since Saban took over. Once in 07, Saban’s first year, when they killed us just before suspending half their team. Then in 22 I won the largest bet of my life by parlaying Tennessee to hit the over and win outright.

Our defensive struggles and Heupel’s road woes don’t lead me to believe we have a chance. We are also a sloppy football team, and that does not bode well in Tuscaloosa at night.

Different defensive game plan for Bama. No qb you have to spy all game like last week. Bama has 4 turnovers and loses by double digits!

There is no excuse for us laying an egg. I don’t feel like we can stop their offense and I do believe they have enough talent and home field advantage to win the game. If Tennessee wins Saturday, it’s going to be a great win. I believe Alabama is starting to hit their stride.

Unfortunately i think this will be the first blowout in this series since 2021. Bama will get their revenge saturday night and win probaly by 20 or more points. I don’t think our defense will be able to get them off the field much and i don’t think our offense will get many possessions. Bama 45- 21. We can still have a good 8-4 or 9-3 season with a decent bowl game but we aren’t going to the playoffs again this year. I just don’t have a good feeling about this game, hope i’m wrong but we are walking into a hornets nest Saturday night.

Also Jam MIller is probable. His concussed hit was not your average hit. He got hit!!! In concussion protocol it usually takes a week just to get back to normal and he isn't no where ready to play this Saturday but what do ya think turd and their Doc's/coarch gonna do? Trot his ass out there. It is win at all cost in turdland. If Miller played for Tennessee he would be out a month. I don't feel good about this game at all due to our Defense and us playing 18vs 11. Like someone said earlier. We have seen this movie countless times down there. 2023 is a great example as to how a game shifted quickly with the bammer refs.

They are ranked #2 on sacks given up. We are ranked #1 on sacks. Their o-line doesn’t protect really good on passes.
I’m not overly confident in this game but that isn’t one of the worries.
Sacks are not always on the OL.

Weird thing I feel better about this game than I did going into the Arkansas game. Everyone is talking about how bad the defense is, sometimes it balances out, swings the other way in a way no one expected. We will see. Also I like Heupel as the hunter instead of being hunted, he is much better in those situations usually.
imo we have to change two things. Our defensive scheme on 3rd and long, and stop going conservative when we have the lead, stay wide open and up tempo offfense

If we play tight coverage, we can stop the quick and 3 step drop routes. If they have to wait for a double move or more time to throw, our front 4 can get home for a sack. However, if we can’t get home for the sack, we will give up big passing plays.

It's really not that good. They aren't good at running the ball and they give up pressure.
They'll outrush us and the pressure won't be an issue for Simpson. The zebras will see to that.

Remember....this is bama...at home....and we're UT. We've all seen this movie before.

They're like in the 80s for running the football. Their rush game is not typical Bama so far.
