Vitello MLB rumor

Zero reason for him to speak to the issue. Let Les Miserables stew… 🤣🤙🏼🧡
Suspect the LM won't be the only ones in the pot. If I'm Vitello, I say nothing. Doesn't have to. Let Danny boy continue having nightmares of a UT without Vitello happening on his watch. Bet Xmas comes early for Vitello this year.

Dick Howser did. He’s the only one.
Dick Howser managed the Yankees in 78, FSU in 79 and back to the Yankees in 80. Typical Steinbrenner move.

Don Kessinger managed the White Sox for one year and then years later went on to manage Ole Miss.

Howser managed the Yankees in 1978 for 1 game on a interim basis. Bob Lemon got fired before the last game of the season.. 1978 shouldn't count..

I think Tony genuinely enjoys the development and passion that come with college ball. Of course, everyone dreams of playing or coaching in the majors, but if anything, this just highlights how great of a job Tony and his staff have been doing. We're lucky to have him here.

He’s definitely not being paid what he’s worth…
What’s he worth? He’s the highest paid coach in the college sport with less hardware than guys under him. That’s not a knock or swipe at Tony cause lord knows he’s the best thing we have going on campus and that’s saying a lot given our current state of overall success but when no one else in the sport is willing to pay above his current salary, for him or anyone else, hard to say he’s being underpaid.

My thought was the level of exposure he brings during the MLB draft but i guess he gets paid for that too.
