this is why I asked for content. and besides, how influential is this A-Gays group to say they reflect all young republicans? its just an incredibly broad brush with no context given. who has even heard of this out-of-the-closet group in Young Republicans before?

if those slurs were thrown around in a thread where "official" -how official is one staffer for a state AG?- discussions were being had, yeah it would be worth calling out.

especially if those comments were ONLY located in official discussions about party business. That would be highly damning of them.

but if those comments were taken from over 10 years of conversations in their equivalent to the "off topic forum" or "meme" threads, I am not going to be worried about it representing the current attitude or practices of all young republicans.

Next, I would want to know how people reacted. were they only upvoted, if down votes are possible? did anyone call them out, was there general agreement? all of those would be pretty telling in whether this is worth making assumptions off of.

Like if that one staffer made all the comments, or most of them, and he was downvoted every time he made one of those comments, and had multiple people telling him to eff off with that nonsense, are you guys really going assume its a problem? IDK maybe you guys have read the 28,000 messages and know exactly what happened instead of accepting cherry picked messages as the gospel truth. but it seems like a bad assumption.
