The VQ guys said "help isn't coming" when talking about the woes in the secondary as well on the podcast this week. I feel like they've been saying it without saying it.Listening to AP on Swain just now and this was the first question they asked. He said he’s not playing, in so many words. If he’s not playing this week, he might as well sit the whole season or come back if we were to make the playoffs.
sharps are definitely viewing the SEC like the NFL this year. Anything over a TD spread is value to them.
That's why our line dropped quickly from Bama -12.5 to where it sits today around 8 or 7.5 (def still trending to 7.5)
The difference between the very best teams at the top (1-2 per year traditionally) and the very bottom of the league (2-4 per year traditionally) has regressed tremendously. Now everyone is really close in terms of overall talent. The portal and NIL have stretched the talent across the entire league.

Ohio State looks pretty deep. Heck, Texas Tech looks pretty deep but won't be challenged until the playoffs. There are teams spending 40 million on a roster. A handful probably north of that combined with revenue sharing. We're pretty deep too! I pointed that out. There are a whole lot of SEC teams who would love to have our depth. And Ole Miss is pretty loaded too. They went to a backup QB and he was better than their starter, who I think is eventually going to be very good.No teams are as deep as they used to be, but Bama and UGA have as much stockpiled talent as anybody. If teams were forced to sit all their starters, whose second string do you think has more talent than Bama or UGA?
Crapped down his leg? Man you guys must be really smart to out think a guy most folks would agree is an offensive genius..I share this sentiment. Heupel has had us ready to play in both of his trips to Tuscaloosa - he’d probably even have a win down there in 2023 if he hadn’t completely crapped down his leg with his play calling for all four quarters. Winning in the swamp? I’ll just say I’ll believe that one when I see it lol
Can't really argue..except to say that we are good at it this year and need to make it happen again Saturday.I completely agree with that. Forcing fumbles where the QB is rolling out and surrounded by defenders is a skill and recovering most of those is not chance. Y’all are good at it.
But fumble recoveries are weird, fickle, and even unfair. Do you remember that game in Knoxville a few years back where a UT defender gets a blindside strip sack on the UGA QB, only to have the ball bounce to a UGA TE who runs it like 20 yards for a TD? Defense did everything right, offense scores by sheer dumb luck (okay it was a heads up play by the TE but still).
It’s a cruel sport with a weird shaped ball that bounces funny.

I'm glad you're stepping up. I'm more sore today than yesterday and I don't think i'll even be able to walk fast by Saturday,Allright boys, if the UT secondary needs my help this weekend, I’ll step up. VFLs, help is coming. VolsnCards5 promises you he will step on that field and go headhunting. I will surely die on the first play, but I will make a Bammer player slightly uncomfortable in the process.
That’s fairOk...but hear me out...the government of a University is not THE University...If I found out this was happening at our school.and a few idiots at the top swept it under the rug, I wouldn't blame UT itself, I would blame the guilty and hold them accountable..THE University of Tennessee is not the President, the Board of Directors or the AD, it is everyone that has ever went there, taught there or played there..what yiuvare saying is You would punish EVERYONE innocent or guilty for what a handful of gross people did...and that is not right. I feel very confident in saying that the VAST majority of Penn State folks are just as disgusted as you by pedophiles.
I get being zealous and protective of children, hell we all are, you don't hate pedos more than I do..I am a staunch advocate of the death penalty in cases of grownups molesting little children...but your position seems overzealous and hurtful of the innocent to me.
