Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

These blue check Twitter accounts only care about engagement. This is a clear bait to generate engagement. Everyone knows the lyrics to Rocky Top at this point. They've heard it a thousand times.

And it looks like much of the engagement is other blue checks. Twitter has become such garbage. Well over 50% of the activity is just bots now.

Listening to AP on Swain just now and this was the first question they asked. He said he’s not playing, in so many words. If he’s not playing this week, he might as well sit the whole season or come back if we were to make the playoffs.
The VQ guys said "help isn't coming" when talking about the woes in the secondary as well on the podcast this week. I feel like they've been saying it without saying it.

sharps are definitely viewing the SEC like the NFL this year. Anything over a TD spread is value to them.

That's why our line dropped quickly from Bama -12.5 to where it sits today around 8 or 7.5 (def still trending to 7.5)

The difference between the very best teams at the top (1-2 per year traditionally) and the very bottom of the league (2-4 per year traditionally) has regressed tremendously. Now everyone is really close in terms of overall talent. The portal and NIL have stretched the talent across the entire league.

Yeah its not like the Ms St isn't bad at all and ARK could have very easily beaten Ole Miss and shoulda beat Memphis who are both undefeated.

No way they'd have the line so steep if Ole Miss came to Tuscaloosa. They just don't respect us or Heupel. They'll learn, once again.

No teams are as deep as they used to be, but Bama and UGA have as much stockpiled talent as anybody. If teams were forced to sit all their starters, whose second string do you think has more talent than Bama or UGA?
Ohio State looks pretty deep. Heck, Texas Tech looks pretty deep but won't be challenged until the playoffs. There are teams spending 40 million on a roster. A handful probably north of that combined with revenue sharing. We're pretty deep too! I pointed that out. There are a whole lot of SEC teams who would love to have our depth. And Ole Miss is pretty loaded too. They went to a backup QB and he was better than their starter, who I think is eventually going to be very good.

I just assume those of you who think Bama and Georgia have any sort of depth on their rosters haven't kept up with the comings and goings of the transfer portal. Bama has former players playing at a high level all over the country for other teams. Georgia's starter went to Miami for more money.

neutral field, everyone healthy and playing, PAC 12 officiating, we beat gumps ass by double digits...

current situation and the corrupt zebras who've already been given their marching orders and penalty sheet, we're looking at getting screwed by 10...

They've pushed bama too high in the rankings and heisman to have it all messed up... Can't happen...

so crazy that Ty leads the heisman race, with basically the same numbers at Joey, yet Joey isn't even on the top 10 list... that is more concerning of the corrupt bias than maybe the refs on saturday...

I was at that game with a bunch of college buddies I grew up with. That was one of the best away games I have been to. Beautiful October afternoon and I have to admit that the Alabama fans we ran into were great. Had several invite us to eat at their tailgate parties. Great trip as I was starting my Junior year at UT.

I share this sentiment. Heupel has had us ready to play in both of his trips to Tuscaloosa - he’d probably even have a win down there in 2023 if he hadn’t completely crapped down his leg with his play calling for all four quarters. Winning in the swamp? I’ll just say I’ll believe that one when I see it lol
Crapped down his leg? Man you guys must be really smart to out think a guy most folks would agree is an offensive genius..

I completely agree with that. Forcing fumbles where the QB is rolling out and surrounded by defenders is a skill and recovering most of those is not chance. Y’all are good at it.

But fumble recoveries are weird, fickle, and even unfair. Do you remember that game in Knoxville a few years back where a UT defender gets a blindside strip sack on the UGA QB, only to have the ball bounce to a UGA TE who runs it like 20 yards for a TD? Defense did everything right, offense scores by sheer dumb luck (okay it was a heads up play by the TE but still).

It’s a cruel sport with a weird shaped ball that bounces funny.
Can't really argue..except to say that we are good at it this year and need to make it happen again Saturday.

I heard the crowd favorite was Moony McMoonface.
AI generated...............

Here are some funny name ideas for Earth's new moon, categorized by theme. Many are inspired by popular culture and internet humor, similar to the "Boaty McBoatface" phenomenon.

Internet and pop culture references
  • Moony McMoonface: A nod to the public vote for the British research vessel that resulted in the now-iconic, humorously mundane name.
  • Earth 2: Still Spinning: A sequel-style name for a sidekick moon.
  • The Follower: A simple, slightly passive-aggressive name for a new celestial body.
  • That New New: A casual, trend-focused name for a fresh addition to the solar system.
  • Kevin: A name of pure, unfathomable randomness.

Allright boys, if the UT secondary needs my help this weekend, I’ll step up. VFLs, help is coming. VolsnCards5 promises you he will step on that field and go headhunting. I will surely die on the first play, but I will make a Bammer player slightly uncomfortable in the process.
I'm glad you're stepping up. I'm more sore today than yesterday and I don't think i'll even be able to walk fast by Saturday, šŸ˜‚

What in the WORLD is going on in Gainesville? These outlets reporting Billy is going to be out are aligned with the UAA but it doesn't make a bit of sense to leak that you are going to fire a guy after a game you are supposed to win!
