The one thing we don't know coming into the game is which team does the SEC office think gives the league the best chance in the playoffs. That will determine how the officiating goes. I'm betting its 3-1 against Vols. Doesn't mean we can't win but just another hurdle to overcome.

I agree.. They want them some Bubba in the playoffs this year , not having the gump nation watching last year cost them some eyes they would like to get back. All about that tv money and ratings..

It doesn't matter. The SEC has their picks and the refs don't have to actually face any scrutiny. The league office will protect them while screwing over people who play the favorites to get into the playoffs.

Bama wins handily. Home game. They are hitting on all cylinders and looking like world beaters. We are playing schizophrenic. Offense looks great. Defense looks terrible and great from play to play. We sack the QB and put them in 3rd and 20. Then turn around and give up a 30yd run or pass for the 1st down. We force a fumble and score only to let them drive down the field on their next possession in 8 plays and score a touchdown.
If our defense actually gets it's act together, we can win outright. But I've seen a trend of getting worse, not better. The best game our D has played was against Georgia. Each week after that it seems like we go down in competition and we play down to meet them.

Bama and UGA currently lead the conference in penalties.

It doesn’t matter where they stand. But when Kirby calls a timeout that he doesn’t have, the game clock stops, and the refs shrug it off-that’s a problem. I doubt seriously that Freeze told his team “hey don’t sweat it bc Ga leads the conference in penalties” afterwards.

Auburn has gotten screwed 2 weeks in a row by officials, especially against A&M and then the 10-1 differential against us last week. You really think MState only made 1 penalty the whole game. Something don't smell right here. Incompetent officials or the fix. You decide.

How does it benefit the SEC or officials to have such a disparity of calls for Arkansas?

Drives me nuts! I had to get up and walk away a few times. If I would have been in Neyland, I would have been livid!

Side note: giving up my season tickets was very hard, but games like Arky and UGA ease the pain of that long drive back home.

Yeah it would have been pure torture watching that in person. I got up and walked away from the TV too. My heart was racing and I started getting a sinking feeling in my stomach. That damn prevent D drives me insane
