Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I continually hear people talk about the need for parity in the sport. Am I the only one whose favorite part of the sport is the lack of parity?

If the worst teams in the country had a 40% chance or so at winning against the best teams like they do in the NFL, I would never tune in.

I’m tuning in because I want to see train wrecks like the end of the James Franklin tenure. Because when you lack parity, the games have more value.

Because adidas doesn’t know shite about whose a good coach and who isn’t and whether a university should put itself through a coaching search without knowing what the outcome will be.
I posted proof earlier and just retired man. Not worth arguing with them. Can’t use logic to convince a person out of a belief when they never used logic to get into their belief in the first place.
Appreciate you though.

If Rhule leaves, Nebraska should offer Cignetti whatever he wants. Whatever it takes, imo...if Im AD at Nebraska.
Is Curt Cignetti the next Matt Campbell?

Isn’t it funny these guys have meteoric rises, can’t miss hires, and he could wind up being an analyst for for some other jabroni trying to resurrect his career in 10 years.

*Matt Campbell is just an example

Ok. That's your opinion. Not sure if I've seen a much worse season tbh. Mostly the last few games.

Jmho. And I don't like to BS on refs, call it how I see it both ways. Most seasons it balances out, but not always, and I've seen it go both ways. But it's been ugly as hell so far, again jmo. I'm not an expert and see very few views/angles like all fans, but some of the calls have been historically egregious from what I can tell.
That’s the point.

Not sure what bringing up a discrete number of penalties, not accounting for context (down and distance, time remaining in game, impact, etc) nor the missed calls with their context really does?

Posters disagree whether there is a conspiracy to determine outcomes of games, but regardless of that many outcomes of games have been determined because of officiating (whether corrupt or incompetent). Maybe we’re on the same page and agree that too many of our games, and league-wide games have been negatively impacted or changed because of poor officiating? 🫡

I think he’s excellent at stabilizing and advancing a program…to your point, so was Franklin.
Off topic from this, how are you and your family? I miss seeing you here. You’ve always had a unique way of putting things. I still remember when I had to call uncle when you had me on the mat, 😒. I’m still salty about that by the way. Hope all is well with you, wife and girls.
