The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

The odds are not in his favor, see my prior post.
Points 1 & 2 are true.
Point 3 & 4 are unknown.

He is exactly where many #1QBs are. He's on a bad team are getting killed as a rookie. If he stays healthy, we have a 10-15 year window to capitalize.

Just dropping the ball was a bad sign. It’s one play, but it makes me think he’s rattled.
He might be. I don't know. He doesn't look rattled to me. Rookies make mistakes. Veterans do too. A player let go of the ball before he crossed the goal line last week. I doubt people look at that and think he was rattled.
I've never played football. But I do a fair bit about maintaining mental composure. I think we all knew the team would be bad. The coaching is bad. There are many positions in need of upgrade. I am focusing on the few positives that I see in CW in the truckload of bad I see in the franchise.

Ms Amy

Oregon St fired Bray

PSU fired Franklin

UAB fired Dilfer

There's no shame in cutting ties early.........
She is probably at a Kohls or Coach picking out some fun stuff to wear for the fall season coming up. Probably dont even keep up with the score of games as long as Daddy's business still keeps money on her Discover Card.

For many years rookie QB's did not play unless forced into it via injuries. Over time that has gone away as college O's became more sophisticated. What is missed when doing it is an adjustment period to the improved talent levels and speed to the game from mental a processing standpoint.

Cam is clearly talented and capable. But his career will probably be ruined if he has to continue under Callahan and this system.

I forget the exact wording, but I recall an interview a few years ago where Tom Brady said that starting a rookie QB year one was a terrible idea, and that it should only be done if there’s literally no other option. He attributed his year behind Bledsoe as critical to his development into the QB he’d become, and said that, if he started year one, he’d have never made it. Since he’s the GOAT, I’m inclined to trust his input on QB development.

So it makes me wonder if we should’ve just picked up somebody like Brissett and sacrificed them instead. Idk if Cam is the guy or not, but this staff is unquestionably ruining him, and since we were going to be awful anyway…… should we really have thrown him into the fire week one?

my man just admit that your only issue with Amy is that she’s a woman already

Vrabel has as many wins in New England in 6 games as Callahan has in 23. And he inherited a team that was every bit as bad as the Titans.

Firing him will go down as the greatest mistake in franchise history.
I think one of the reasons he looks good is because they have McDaniels. Vrabel desperately needs a good OC forced on him to be effective. We wouldn’t have hired McDaniels as an OC if he had stayed here.

worst franchise in NFL history under her leadership.....prove me wrong
Worst in NFL history? We actually improved quite a bit after she took over. She at least deserves some credit for moving on from Whisenhunt and the series of events that led to 2017 and 2019-2021 under Vrabel. Of course, we did crash hard last few years.
