The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Hopefully this can improve everyone’s mood:

Anyone else notice our rookie edge defender whose initials are OO is #7?

Has to be intentional, right?

Shocking news: team expected to be very bad is in fact bad.

I’m honestly just kind of glad last week let us all move on from all the “this team is going to go 0-17” and “this is going to be the worst team in NFL history” talk.

Y’all deserve this franchise

Cam isn't it, this coaching staff isn't good, the front office doesn't appear to be steering us in the right direction.

How many straight years of horrible line play can one team have? Traded away that would have been the best wr in program history.

Besides getting a new stadium to fill with opposing fans is there anything to feel excited about with this franchise?

To be fair, I just now got it. I, um, thought you were asking if someone whose initials were O.O. might be have the number 7 on his jersey.

James Bond. Gotcha

Well, this is currently either year 3 or year 4. Granted the end of the 2022 season was also more or less the “blow everything up and start over year” so that was pretty much a step back year.

Think you're being hasty on Cam.

Let's calm down about Cam until he gets an intelligent coaching staff.

He's better than Levis and he could be no worse than Tanny
The final nail in the coffin isn't in place obviously. But he's got so many things going against him at this point it's going to be very unlikely he gets it together here.

1) He's got a lame duck coach who's inevitably going to be fired.

2)The roster around him isn't good at all, lower third of the league at every position, save maybe one or two.

3)The Titans franchise isn't appealing to known coaching commodities.

4)He's likely to get a defensive minded coach, that's not necessarily a bad thing but couple this with point number 3 the odds of getting a great Coordinator aren't super high.

Callahan isn't an idiot, but he's never been a play caller. He's a sharp guy, but it might just be that his prior title was his ceiling. Who knows. The problem is it's not working out for him here, there are a number of reasons. It's not all on him, but it starts and ends with him because of his title.

Having the same or similar issues with your o line for 4 straight years is a huge problem. The crazy thing is we e supposedly got a huge upgrade at the position coach but we're having similar issues.

I'd argue we had issues for 5-6 years now..... At least that's how it's felt.
