Dominated a few possessions there and got the 17 point lead and then as always coaches took the air out of the ball and tried to run out the clock. We also went into a prevent defense of sorts especially on that third and ten when they scored that last touchdown. In that position you give the rush all you have if he makes the play fine. You don't give him all day to find an open guy.

At least one of us can be reasonable. You’ve spent about 16 hours trying to convince me how great this 2-4 team is we just played.

Arky was a couple of fumbles away from being a 1 loss team. Look at the size of their offensive lineman, they are massive. Both running backs are over 6 ft 230lbs and their QB is 6'6 238 lbs. That's why they moved the ball with ease. They have scored big on everyone except ND
That one 28 pt quarter against ND killed them and I think they just gave up. It's hard to play that far behind... Their bread and butter is the run and QB run. When they got behind on ND they had to try and get points through the air and failed.

Every QB looks amazing against us.

We are first in offensive yards and 3rd worst in defense. Only KY and ARK are worst in defensive yards allowed.

We allow 100 more yards a game than bama.

We have a major issues. Anyone who doesn’t agree is not being honest. This unit has studs across the field and should be absolutely dominating the teams we have played so far.

He was amazing though. And I wasn’t calling you out. Just a FYI.

LBs look slow and took some poor angles. We have struggled with sealing off the edge this season, but did a better job against the pigs. DBs and safeties struggled in coverage during cover 2 while handing off coverages responsibilities. We are going to need a big improvement on defense if we are going to beat the "cousin lovers" in Tuscaloosa. I have confidence that we'll be prepared.

Last 3 games have been against 3 of the best rushing teams in the SEC. UGA, MSU, & Ark are some of the upper tier rushing teams in the league. Ark in particular is 3rd in total offense in the SEC. Ark & MSU are top 3-8 scoring offenses in the SEC. Vandy is actually the only offense left on the schedule that's on par or better than the last 3 teams played. Bama is middle of the pack rushing and scoring.

I wasn't happy with a lot of the defensive play, but it's worth noting that Arkansas is currently the number 6 offense in the country and that's accounting for their awful performance against ND as well. They are averaging 36.3 points per game to our 48.2. Their QB is a lot of that as well with 1,654 passing yards and 504 yards rushing. As I stated in another post, he's not the "best" but likely the most athletic QB we will face this season. Kid is a gamer. Obviously some things could've been better, notably keeping our foot on the gas with a double digit lead, but Arkansas was going to put up points regardless.

And quite honestly they shouldn't have put up anymore than 17 points in the game. We decided to go into soft coverage defense and "prevent offense" which allowed them to sneak back in.

Our only chance to beat Bama will be to be plus 2-3 in the turnover category . . . And score 48 plus points.

Bama will abuse this defense like a hot knife through butter.

I am not so sure of this assessment. Simpson and Bama are an entirely different offense and qb from what we just played. The game will be entirely different. They love running off tackle with Proctor paving the road so get ready for that. Simpson while elusive likes to stay in the pocket and look deep frequently due to great receivers so pin your ears back and get after him. They use their TE like we use Kit as well.

Yeah yeah yeah.. I follow this board every day. Mississippi State was undefeated. Georgia was undefeated. Arkansas was almost, almost undefeated. Get a clue!

Are we dominating or squeaking by?
