If he comes back or not he will not be the same player. It says a year recovery but for skill guys it’s usually year 2 for return to playing form. We need to get after Ty’s traitor ass and pound him.

lol okay, everyone sucks. They may have played 3 playoff teams, but everyone of those playoff teams sucks and is actually a high school team.

That seams like the reasonable take of an adult

Has anyone seen the other games that higher ranked teams lost or won in a tight game against unranked teams?

This is the new CFB reality. NIL and the portal have leveled the talent gap. Every Saturday will look like this one.

They lost to two top 25 teams by a combined 6 points

The alarming part was that the misses on defense that resulted in chunks weren’t even close. The third down conversion by Shanks early in the third as an example. The run right after for 8-9 yards as another. Maybe it was communications? But we were beat badly at several points, and unfortunately it was consistent

I'll try the Socratic method... What was AR ranked? They aren't. Where did TN play them? At Neyland. How many points did AR score? 31. What is AL ranked? 8th in the country. Where will TN play them? At their place. Do teams play better at home? Yes. Did TN struggle with AR? Yes. Did TN struggle with MSSt on the road and need OT to win? Yes. Is AL better than MSSt? Seriously?? Is Al better than AR? See previous answer.

The point was winning is hard… celebrate every single one of them.

They will 100% be a couple folks, still complain if we beat Bama by 3… idc if we win 1-0 every game, still better than losing…


Yall counting next week a loss before it even happens.

In '98 it didn't matter who TN was facing, you always thought the D would get it done

Right now? You're praying that they get lucky, or get a TO

Having to hope that your opponent makes a mistake rather than being the better team??

in 98 we beat Cuse by 1 and needed a weird crazy Fumble to beat Arky and a FG to beat Florida. There were close games all over the place. Don't apologize or discredit wins

OK.... when you need to make an argument to get into the playoffs, that 3 pt win on the road at #8 AL is gonna look a lot better than a 3 pt win at home against #NR AR

TN got a bunch of lucky breaks that year. But you always thought the D would get it done.

Not this year.

Every opponent's possession is a sphincter clenching, prayer inducing, please let the D NOT give up 3rd and 22 this time, well crap possession this year

It's just what it is until changes on that side of the ball are made

We are not going far with that defense. It looked like they had 13 men on offense and we had 10 on defense. The offense is going to score a lot of points so we can look forward to some exciting games down the stretch. The rest of the SEC games look like toss ups.

Guess we looked like the most dominate team every game in 98? No lucky breaks all season… just dominated every game. I don’t think so. The great thing was, we just won the games. So as long as we keep winning, idc what that looks like! Stats, pretty points, style points, none of that matters to me personally. Just the W..

I know everyone has their own opinion on that, and that’s okay! That’s why America is great. You’re allowed to have your own opinion… but I’m just going to keep celebrating the Wins! Go Vols
