The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry 7:30 Eastern ABC

Play clock was running down and Kirby ran down the sideline signaling timeout. Once play was stopped, he told the linesman he wasn’t signaling timeout, he was clapping. Officials got together and reset the playclock like nothing happened. Meanwhile the replay showed Kirby obviously signaling and yelling timeout.

Lord…. yeah that’s bad

Then when freeze called a TO to get them to review why didn’t they?

Because it’s Georgia
Because they didn’t think it warranted it. I’m not saying the calls/reviews were correct or on the up and up, just that targeting can be reviewed by the booth if not called on the field. The crew was horrendous and appeared to be blatantly favoring UGA or they’re simply that incompetent, both of which should warrant their asses sitting for several weeks.

Smart has said that he was indicating that Auburn was clapping to draw their players offside. Not saying I believe that. His hand gesture was that of a timeout.

I read that this morning. I guess he could have just braincramped but it sure looked like he wanted a timeout and changed his mind.

Bet they show up and officiate the Bama/Tennessee game.

What a 💩

I know I'm in the minority here but to me that still photo doesn't tell anything. It doesn't tell where the point of the ball is (QB hands are blocking that view). And It doesn't tell if QB has control or not. From the moving video, that dark right arm has already punched the ball backwards out of the QBs hands. Notice his hands are only over the very tip of the ball. They are not around the middle of the ball, which is where they were when he had control. Because his hands are moving forward but the ball isn't. Anyway, that's why I say not clear enough to overturn.
Go get your eyes checked asap. Worried about ya.
