I’m good with that. Assumed the USF commitment meant his spot here wasn’t guaranteed. Could have been any number of things.

But yeah, bring in all the DL depth you have room for.

At the time he committed, it was said he was a take at Tennessee, so I don't think this was a case of us initially telling him no.

Since you want to be your usual smart a**, I will correct you. The definition of town “is an urban area that has a name, defined boundaries, and local government, and that is generally larger than a village and smaller than a city.” Powell does not have a local government thus not a town. It is an area or community in Know County.

Will be interesting to see if Golesh moves up this offseason. I don't think Florida would hire him personally if that were to come open. Not sure what other job that could come open that would make sense unless VT hires him which would be a great hire for them. Have to have a spot that is a good fit open to move up

ALSO….. it is part of the Knoxville metropolitan statistical area as is Farragut though it also has some established government.

Yes. He’s been a take and it’s not like we’re recruiting any DT that will look at Tennessee.

They’re being very selective. Rivers, Albert and this kid can all run and can slip blocks and penetrate.

I’ve lived here my entire life.. Powell is as much Knoxville as karns, Farragut, Bearden, West, South Doyle, austin east, Hardin valley, etc. stop being argumentative just to be argumentative all the time. Powell is 15 mins from the stadium. You’ve always been a freaking know it all around here, Leonard.

Powell hasn’t been part of Knoxville since Standard Knitting Mills closed down.

Just a bunch of people lurking around in the trees up there!

It is clear Tennessee is looking to add more bodies up front, and they have continued to work this position group late into the fall, so we will see if any other defensive lineman potentially show up on campus this weekend or in the coming weeks. It would not surprise us if that were the case. One currently expected this weekend is Iverson Garcia.

Tennessee has continued to chip away at the USF commit from nearby Powell, and he continues to show up on campus for visits and have a good time. We will see what he continues to think and what his timeline looks like after this one.

WTF powell borders knoxville and isn’t inside the knoxville city limits. No need for hate here.
