Dude was the worst type of guy.

The first few years it was a weird cult vibe-- we desperately needed a charismatic leader post Dooley. So Butch had a lot of sycophants around him. Made it hard to get a clear shot. As the years went on and he lost support, myself, and many others, took our aim. We missed, ultimately, but the damage was done. Brick by brick he lost it all. After Nov 26, 2016 the world knew his time was coming to an end. It took one more season for the death knell. Many of us in the recruiting world knew he was all hype. Revisionist history, perhaps, but anyone with brains knew the 2014 class was loaded with in state talent, but where it mattered: on the trenches? We whiffed. Without stout lines in this league, nothing matters.

All alone. No offensive or defensive line. (And borderline personality disorder?) Good luck Butch...!

With revenue sharing expect a lot more of this to happen where solid 3 star range kids pick schools like USF over top tier schools like Tennessee

Exactly. See how the class evolves. Even if he lands elsewhere he could still end up back here later.

Heupel stepping in personally on this recruitment tells me a lot. I'd be shocked if he doesn't end up in this class when all is said and done.

Also, seems pretty easy to sell him on the uncertainty around where Golesh will be coaching next year...barring a major turn of events it won't be USF.

odd if he sticks with USF. They will have a new coach next year.

I’ve been unsure about when it was gonna take effect, but with all the guys we are still trying to sign and flip, 105 gotta be coming this fall, right?

***Edit*** should have said next fall
