I think they did one last week tooView attachment 775082
Some ladies from Metro Drug Coalition worked well into the night on this week's version.
Great work highlighting a great cause !!!
There is a shot of that on the website. It is kind of cool, looks like a very thick coat:a few years ago the layers of paint sort of melted off. there were pictures posted here. I though it was cool seeing how thick the layers of paint had built up.
do they ever strip that thing down to bare rock again? I wonder how much it's grown over the decades.
Friday morning before Arkansas rolls into town...and we get an advertisement.
Hope there's some student, group, or organization on the ball and gets this updated before tomorrow...
I'll check back in later to see.

PREACH IT !!!Not going to lie, I was pretty pissed off when the local news was all "Luke Combs Luke Combs" and showing off the Luke Combs-decorated rock on their evening news like we should all be excited about it.
Having the rock painted to advertise a damn commercial concert the day before a home SEC game is the perfect representation of corporate business interests taking over and overriding what has been a locally significant pasttime. They're using the game - and the rock - as an opportunity to market the concert, rather than celebrate the upcoming game. Way to have the priorities straight.
Easy solution. Bucket of cheap paint.PREACH IT !!!
This has been a pattern in the last couple of years. There used to be a student body committee that had to approve (although they had no real authority) what went on The Rock.
Seems like now though it's just whoever can do whatever.
Anytime SEC Network or ESPN comes to town, they hire someone to paint The Rock and incorporate their logo.
I'm more okay with that because it's done somewhat professionally and is tied to the game being played.
Besides, why they advertising a concert NOW that isn't happening until MAY...oh yeah, that's right because there will be an additional 100-150 THOUSAND MORE sets of eyes on that already in place billboard over the next couple of days...I'm with ya @Voltopia
That’s hilarious! Well done, indeed! An attempt was made and I'll take it since it covers up the advertising and they did a decent job on the Power Ts
Took me a second to realize it says Bucket Listers...wonder if all the initials are folks making a "Bucket list" type trip?
If so, that's awesome and I hope they enjoy the day !!!
