Another factor for those of you who are evaluating schools to take into consideration.
What percent of the senior class takes the ACT? the SAT?
Makes a huge difference in how you should interpret the numbers, but most people do not bother to make the distinction.
Same for comparing AP test scores by the way.
I’m not surprised by that. Briarcrest had people like Hugh Freeze teaching there…
They are clearly an athletics focused school. Which is fine.
But yea, we would never pay for Briarcrest over Houston.
JFK and Bush used the National Guard in cities didn’t theyWhile Pritzker is a morbidly obese clown, he hits the nail on the head about Trump:
“This is a man who’s suffering dementia,” Pritzker said in a telephone interview with the Tribune. “This is a man who has something stuck in his head. He can’t get it out of his head. He doesn’t read. He doesn’t know anything that’s up to date. It’s just something in the recesses of his brain that is effectuating to have him call out these cities.

Gov. JB Pritzker says President Trump deploying troops to Chicago due to ‘dementia’ and obsessive fixations
In a scathing critique of President Donald Trump, Gov. JB Pritzker on Tuesday accused the Republican president of deploying National Guard troops to the Democratic cities of Chicago and Portland based on fixations that stem in part from his being mentally impaired. “This is a man who’s suffering...www.yahoo.com
We have one of those in Chattanooga too.The ones I am referring to are municipal school districts open for residents of Germantown, Collierville, and Arlington. They are public schools. The funding per pupil is less than SCS.
I didnt even get into some of these religious private schools where the quality of education varies widely.
Id agree with you that most private schools are better but it's not uncommon for wealthier suburban district public schools to outperform religious based private schools where education isnt always the first focus...
My only concern at this point is, "can you help yourself?"
I'm fairly certain that unfortunately there is a "point of no return" which you and a few other frequent PF posters have passed.
I find it ironic that trump calls out many of his detractors as low IQ people. Its not a few other frequent posters Luther. You are unhinged, go look at your posts. The only difference between you and the guy that tried to murder Trump is you are a weak man. You are saying the same exact things. You hide all this from your family for a reason, let me guess they are at the point of no return as well.
The only good thing about this, is you are a weak man and probably extremely weak in nature.
No. You stated the best public schools really weren't public because of certain criteria required to attend those schools. That's factually not true as there are public schools all over the country that are fantastic schools for which the only requirement to attend is living within that school's district. They also far outnumber the public schools you were mentioning. Also not an opinionSure it was. And you’re welcome to have it
Your opinion is yours to keep.No. You stated the best public schools really weren't public because of certain criteria required to attend those schools. Didn't say anything related to that. I stated the fact there are numerous, great public schools all over the country. You're conflating issues here.Your opinion is yours to keep.
Rich people propping up schools in their area and keeping those undesirable people who should be zoned there out, isn’t the experience of the vast majority of public schools which absolutely fail most students.

I did enough to get by in school. Wife has her Doctrine and Masters. Son made a bad grade in 5th or 6th one time. She took his bedroom and made him sleep on the couch till he got a better gradebiggest thing that goes into the success of the student is the student themselves, not the school. if the kid puts the time and effort in they will do better than most. Teachers or schools could help some of the borderline kids, but for the most part its going to be the kid and their home life that drive success.
Private schools are naturally going to have more of those, as a percentage, but certainly not all of them, and certainly not every private school kid gets it either. also some kids are just going to thrive in certain circumstances, that could be a private school setting or public.
I went to a private school, any of the kids we got from public schools didn't become any better or any worse than they were before. for the most part it was the same going the other way. Except one guy who failed out of our private school because he was getting high all the time, went to public school and became the valedictorian. we had teachers come in from public schools and complain about the level of support they had in the superior private school.
I tell my parents they wasted their money sending myself and my sisters to private school. as my fiance' and I consider kids private schools are pretty much flat out, and not because of cost. both us did it, and neither came away that impressed. other difference I saw at my private school was less violence than at the public schools, but we had the rest.
Exactly, and you keep taking the bait even after I told you how many times.
Only a person that is damaged severely would keep taking the bait.
Only a loon could possibly be tricked into falling for the obvious. The loons come out for the slaughter i.e. you.

P.S. If what you posted here was disclosed to the public here, you would be out of teaching job for obvious reasons.
There isn't anything I can do for you though.
