Good. MAGA cultists gonna need a lot more Effexor in the coming years as they reap what they have sown. With the money they save they can take some local community college courses on "Not everything I read on Facebook/Internet/FoxNews is Real 101/102" and "Change. It happens, stfu or gtfo 101".Well, it's not a bill, but Trump is working on lowering drug prices.
Pfizer Reaches Landmark Agreement with U.S. Government to Lower Drug Costs for American Patients | Pfizer
Voluntary agreement meets the President’s four requests while also protecting the U.S. ecosystem responsible for America’s leadership in delivering medical breakthroughs Agreement provides certainty from tariffs and clarity on pricing framework that furthers Pfizer’s ability to expand investment...www.pfizer.com
The public schools, like the ones you mentioned, with the private sector partnerships do ok but are still subject to the “no child gets ahead “ legislation.Sure, there are some Publics that outperform some Privates.
When we lived inside Memphis we sent our girls to Private. The Public schools in Memphis are atrocious.
Now that we live in Germantown we send our girls to Public. There is no value in sending them to Private.
That's a start. I am not so trusting of medications manufactured in India .Well, it's not a bill, but Trump is working on lowering drug prices.

All the talk speaker Johnson puts out about how republicans are working on health care for Americans is a lie. A lie swallowed by conservative voters.
Name one bill put forth since Ronald Reagan by republicans to improve Americans access to health care. Republicans have attempted to end the affordable care act, never to fix the things they disagree with.can you not remember trumps first campaign, when he promised to repeal and replace? He has not thought of it since making that brag to his base.

Private schools are always better than public schools…even in those few areas where the public schools are propped up by private partnerships
Flat tax is just one way. There is a lot of nuance, but the basic principle is innate.
Do you mean who would provide the healthcare?
Is health care what put us in the hole?Legislation is not going to change the fact you're not paying your bills now, which is why Medicare has a $60-100T hole coming up. You are the one getting government checks and you are the one spending all the money, yet, you are not offering anything of real value other than double down.
New laws really aren't going to solve anything swampy, if anything it will probably make it worse.
What should be, and what is, are obviously two different things.Do you believe the quality is proportionate to the increased cost, and should cost be a barrier to entry for those who can’t afford it? I say emphatically no to both.
We have an access and cost problem.

And what do those very few examples have in common with the private schools?Going to chime in here since Im just a few miles away. Houston High, which is where SugarVol is located, has higher average ACT scores, higher percentage of 30+ ACT scores than several of the private schools in the area.
Collierville High is far superior academically compared to the closest private school (Rossville Academy).
Arlington High is better than FA/TRA, etc.
Always is too strong of a word to use here...
There are public schools that are at least as good as private. There's not just a "few" of them either. Those that don't require special applications either. Far more of those than the type you mentioned. Of course the great public schools are in high property tax districts and mostly available to only the kids living in those upper middle - upper class districts. So it's all about funding or a lack of itAnd what do those very few examples have in common with the private schools?
There are “public schools” that absolutely are not public schools.
Edit: for example there are a couple of those supposedly public schools in Chattanooga that are not far behind on academic standards. ….but….just like private schools they’re not open enrollment. You have to apply to get in and meet a standard. Had I not been able to afford private education I would have absolutely gone that route.

We’re thrilled to be in the Germantown Municipal School District. Yes, Houston & Collierville High are both excellent.Going to chime in here since Im just a few miles away. An observation I don't see anybody else discussing about public school quality is the accelerated paths inside a large school. That's what one of my kids did. There are public schools that are at least as good as private. There's not just a "few" of them either. Those that don't require special applications either. Briarcrest? wasn't that the school for the waspy family in The Blind Side? We’re thrilled to be in the Germantown Municipal School District. Yes, Houston & Collierville High are both excellent.
Our girls were at St Mary’s Episcopal - pretty formidable academic reputation. It came down to St Mary’s & Hutchison when we were choosing.
Most of the St Mary’s families that also had boys sent them to MUS.
I’d never heard of Rossville Academy.
A lot of folks we know in Collierville, that choose Private, send their kids to St Georges or Briarcrest.
