President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Yes, I agree with higher premiums for smokers, people who are overweight, diabetics, drinkers, drug users, promiscuous people, homosexuals basically anyone who makes bad health choices.

How we would this be monitored? Would we put cameras in people’s bedrooms?

Most baptist and the whole state of Alabama couldn’t afford your insurance premiums.

Before the Baptist comes after me it’s joke.

Population wise?
India and PRC both have over a billion people more than we do. The only smaller country within 75 million of us is Indonesia and it's not a valid comparison given the different HDI levels. Indonesia is at least trying though. Their poor folks plan premiums are really cheap and patients can go show at local government clinics, wait several hours and usually get a correct diagnosis and good medicine.

The point is that many public schools are just as good or better than many private schools.

If Private School A has better average scores on the ACT/SAT than Public School B, it in NO WAY means A is offering a better education than B.
Anyone who would draw that conclusion from that data is probably not doing a very good job at home of educating their children.
Sure, there are some Publics that outperform some Privates.

When we lived inside Memphis we sent our girls to Private. The Public schools in Memphis are atrocious.

Now that we live in Germantown we send our girls to Public. There is no value in sending them to Private.

Makes perfect sense. We moved out of Atlanta in the late 90's for that reason.

@Orangeslice13 made this comment..... Private schools always educate at a much higher level than public.
And that is simply insane.

Every American citizen would be taxed?

Would this be a flat tax?

Who would administer universal healthcare? I’m assuming there would be no more Cigna or blue cross and blue shield?
Flat tax is just one way. There is a lot of nuance, but the basic principle is innate. Do you mean who would provide the healthcare?

Ouch.

I've way out kicked my coverage and that would be a REALLY expensive mistake.

Hope that was a joke and you don't really think that about doctors in general.

My comment before this was McDad offering free colonoscopies to @volfanhill.

Sometimes a little humor is needed in the PF....

Very general, but agreed. Right now, insurance companies and large providers demand a ransom from Americans to receive this service.
We’ve come full circle back to the beginning of my position, and are in agreement.

We have an access and cost problem.

Americans pay a lot for the service. But those that can access it receive a quality product.

Do you believe the quality is proportionate to the increased cost, and should cost be a barrier to entry for those who can’t afford it? I say emphatically no to both.

All the talk speaker Johnson puts out about how republicans are working on health care for Americans is a lie. A lie swallowed by conservative voters.

Name one bill put forth since Ronald Reagan by republicans to improve Americans access to health care. Republicans have attempted to end the affordable care act, never to fix the things they disagree with.can you not remember trumps first campaign, when he promised to repeal and replace? He has not thought of it since making that brag to his base.

I would list but you would either argue or ignore.

As an aside, I enjoy your posts.

How can you tell the difference between a Baptist and a Lutheran?

The Lutheran will speak to you in a liquor store.

He should have said usually
He said always "at a much higher rate"
Not even usually "at a much higher rate".
He should have said sometimes at a much higher rate.
Sometimes at a higher rate.
Sometimes at a lower rate.
Sometimes at a much lower rate.

The education offered on average would be about the same - or the nod would go slightly to public.

Well, it's not a bill, but Trump is working on lowering drug prices.
