McCoy May Return For Arkansas

Yes, I agree with you. People saying he has been practicing with the team are clearly incorrect.
He def hasn’t been going thru contact. And from what I was told (client who works for spye) and reported from Hubbs, price, etc., he hasn’t gone thru a “real” practice.

Drills are one thing. So what is a “real” practice?

Regardless, he won’t play Sat unless there is a Dramatic change tomorrow - Wed.

Either way, good luck to him and….

GO VOLS!!

McCoy was originally at Oregon State.
He played at Whitehouse HS in Texas. Everywhere he played he made the team competitive.

He didn’t come from some powerhouse HS and then get recruited by all the blue bloods in college. I’m saying that he will play because this is his chance to win a championship.

He wants that!

He had some swelling over the weekend, and has still not gone full contact as of yesterday. This has nothing to do with his agent limiting him etc. It is just a day to day decision made by the trainers and McCoy. He’s doing everything in practice but contact. I’d assume he’s still high odds to be back for Bama if he doesn’t play Saturday. If it were a big step backwards, he’d just be on the bike. That hasn’t happened. They’re just being cautious.

You have to assume until the swelling stops he isn't going to get released. He has a bright future and shouldn't rush back and hinder his potential NFL career.

I said in the injury thread that I think this kind of has to happen. I highly doubt an NFL team would use an upper round draft pick, or maybe even any draft pick, on a player coming off such a big surgery without any evidence on the field that it was successful.
If he scores well at the combine the NFL will draft him early. They don’t need to see new film. Most everything is based off analytics.

Because they heard rumors of this being the target date and they got excited about his possible return?
Why would you continue to answer dumb questions?

People always saying "don't get your hopes up, pump the breaks, don't set yourself up for disappointment"...then ask you why would anyone be disappointed?

Then when they are disappointed..."I told ya so".

Uh...maybe because he's an all American defensive back that greatly bolsters the secondary, immediately helps the defense become better and stronger and just his presence alone will help the team overall. Thats why Im disappointed every week he's not out there. Now, I also, at the same time realize he hasn't been ready to be back out there either, but it doesn't mean I'm not disappointed.

Well, when I see questions with what I think have such obvious answers, I continue the convo to see if they are setting me up for a point I'm missing 😂

Brus injury was also gruesome and prob career ending for a lesser man
Bru is built tougher than other men. I thought his career was over after I saw the close up of his injury.

He will always be one of my favorite players. Had opportunities to give up but chose to get back on the horse each time.

PFF's latest mock has him falling to the very end of the first round (pick #32).... would imagine that if he falls much further there will be a push for him to play at least a few games
That's just a BS projection.. how McCoy does at the Combine and individual team workouts will be biggest factor in which round or spot he is drafted in..
