Arkansas game

Only 13.5? That’s a pretty big line..
AND the O/U is 69 with a money line of -525! UT has hit the over in all games this season. We covered the first three games, while not covering the past two. UAB can be attributed to poor back-up play in the second half. Miss St was obviously turnovers. Vegas sees us winning big but allowing some points to Petrino, who one can argue has looked like an offensive genius at points in his past. The link is to a site that shows betting data. I'm taking the Vols and the over. Go Vols!

That over will be hit for sure. No way they stop us and no way we stop them from at least 20 points.

Anyone who can not see the absolute danger in playing this Arkansas team at this point in the season under these circumstances …prob will be in for a long game Saturday. I, too, feel like we will hang on and pull it out (I’d love to see a rout by the Vols but doubt it). I’d love nothing better than to be wrong. Playing, arguably, one of the top two QBs in the league. We have not played a QB this year with his skill set. Hopefully we have a spy containing him and our offense can control the game and clock with long drives by running effectively. Our throw game would benefit from that type game as well. Buckle up people. This game WILL NOT be a cake walk!

I'm with you. This is as classic of a lookahead game as there will ever be. Not to mention we've lost 4 straight to Arkansas.

Texas A&M was favored by 17 over Miss St. We were only favored by a TD. Vegas still isn't sold on us. Syracuse looking like a paper tiger and only scoring 18 on a weak SMU defense probably doesn't help anyone have any confidence in our defense.
Syracuse lost their QB during their win against Clemson and just aren’t the same team anymore.

Syracuse lost their starting QB vs Clemson and are completely lost without him. Miss St was at home and we were favored by 7, which is 10.5 at Neyland. They were also w/o their starting right tackle at night at Kyle Field.

Fair point on the Angeli loss. The #2 has not been very good.

The guys in Vegas know odds and if they say -13 then bank on it. This game would not surprise me if it is under the 13 points or over the 13 pt spread or dead on. Place your bet after initial injury report.

We are playing at home against a team that just fired their coach and cannot play defense. They have put up some points this year but if we cant cover in this game, something is definitely wrong. We probably get Hobbs back, so the defensive line will be as close to full strength as its been all year. No reason this game should still be in question mid way through the third quarter.
With the way our secondary plays, no SEC opponent is out of the game midway through the third quarter, no matter how many points they’re behind.

A desperate Arkansas team and Bobby P gonna be throwing everything at us and Banks and the D weekend. Anybody else watch the UCLA-Penn state game this Saturday and suddenly get more anxious about this game. The line is also only 13.5 points so Vegas knows something. Petrino is also wanting the HC job so a big upset this weekend would definitely help his case. I’m expecting another high scoring shootout like the Miss. St and Georgia game hopefully no more overtimes cause my heart can’t take it. I doubt our defense can stop Arkansas we can’t stop a nose bleed right now giving up almost 30 points a game and i definitely don’t trust Banks against Petrino in any third and long situations. However i don’t think Arkansas can slow or stop our offense then again i said they couldn’t last year and they did but we got Joey now so we will do what we want i think against their terrible defense. Vols win 49-35. We get our revenge and our first win over Arkansas in 18 years. You guys thoughts on this game i will hang up and listen.
We haven’t beaten Arkansas in a while, but the man we have had trouble beating is gone. So, this could bode well for Tennessee.

So good to have such a passionate fan base to relate with. Got a good feelin about this game. I really don't see CJH bringing us in to this game unprepared. VOLS will prevail no matter what that scum bag throws at VOLS!

Just want the vols to get through this game with no major injuries, win, and move onto bama. Do not care about the final score.

One of my first memories of Tennessee football was the 92 game where an eventual 3 win Arkansas team came into #4 Tennessee’s building and began the end of the Major’s era.

Anyone who knows the history of Tennessee/Arkansas should not assume an easy win.
