Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

This is your Monday morning reminder: The Vols have made it through the bye week and "The First Quarter Boys" remain undefeated on the season!

How many games did TFQB go undefeated in '22? I know '23 wasn't great (maybe it was '24), they were more of the 2nd quarter boys.

we started doing it in 2021. 2022 I think the first hiccup was Pitt but we came back strong and ended up doing well.

Thats a loser mentality. Why wouldn't you want to play them at their best and crush their dreams?

I want a win. I could care less if it’s against their third stringers. Give me wins.

Do you think anyone looks at our loss vs uga and considers we were without our top two corners and two of our top 3 defensive tackles?

F no.

They only see it as a Georgia win.

I'm getting my years confused, 😂
I'm pretty sure we started doing it in the Mizzou and especially the SC game in 2021. I remember sharing stupid memes. Back then we were full tilt I think we were taking the spread and the points totals lol

I think we went 6-0 or 7-0 at one point in 2021 once Velus started burning fools. Then I know we lost it for Vandy so we went big on 3rd Q and got it back. I keep saying we... I know I was doing all that 😂 😂 😂

Ended that season with the easy 1st Q cover vs Purdue. What a stupid game.

2022 I think we went 7-5 or 8-4, something like that

I’ve sadly given up hope of Jalin Hyatt ever making an impact in the nfl.

But why has Cedric Tillman and Donte Thornton not making any impact either?

Is Ramel Keyton still in the league?

No. I went for a few hours on Friday, between 6-9p. It was pretty stupid, so I stayed out of the mess and mostly just laughed at the idiots getting stuck on the road trying to pull out of parking lots onto the parkway. . . and the 5'2" 100lb white boys with corn rows.

They should outlaw that type of modded car. It destroys the road surface, attracts people straight out of the Idiocracy cast, and hurts the image of all the other shows that come to town.
From what I've seen on SM, it looked pretty ridiculous and stupid, the people, the way they were acting; especially at one of the gas stations in Gatlinburg. A massive mob of people.

People online are saying Gatlinburg would never have something like that again.

It's gonna be hard for them to get a permit anywhere in Tennessee after that. I don't really like those cars, but the event works hard to put on a good show. I hate to see it ruined because of the culture associated with those type of cars.

I dont disagree about the titans ownership being a joke, but I mean cmon Vrabel only went 13-21 and missed the playoffs in his final 2 years here, so it’s easy to see why he was fired
The only thing I don't thing Vrabel had a part in was the A.J. Brown trade. Otherwise his fingerprints were all over the picks.

As I tell my kids all the time, "you tend to become who you hang around with."

i know many won't agree. happy for nico. didn't mean i have to like the guy.
He still only threw for 166 yards...that little factoid has been buried in the hype..

That little running trick won't happen again now that everybody knows it's coming, he will get broke in half.

he was leading the nation in passing when he got hurt

really tough break and they are not remotely the same. Collins is terrible.
Their offensive staff is brilliant and they will always put up a lot of points and yards when they have a skilled QB...kinda like us in that regard.
