Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I think Saturday is a 63-38 kind of game. Vols win big and mostly score at will, but Joey football has to stay in mich of the game because Tennessee gives up tons of points with their Jekyll and Hyde defense.

I’d feel awesome about the rest of the season if the defense keeps Arkansas at 24 or less

The NFL of today is not the NFL of the 30's, 40's, and 50's. The NFL actually took a back seat to college football in those days. Football is the only major sport that began in college. It wasn't till the sixties that the NFL became popular and primarily in the north. Today even a college allstar time would lose to any NFL team today, simply on size, strength, and speed.

True. But the Jets make you wonder for a few seconds 😆

I hate it that Syracuse lost Steve Angeli. At least they beat Dabo while they still had him. But it would have been interesting to see if they could have beaten GT or ND.
He really surprised me...he gained my respect in our game...he played really tough considering the hurt we put on him.

My answer doesn’t preclude a lack of intelligence. However, I honestly think if there were no video cameras capturing celebration dances for TV, this issue would almost entirely disappear.
I don't think I've ever seen someone drop it prematurely to do a dance. They're tired from a long run, blood isn't in their brain, they're happy about scoring, they aren't disciplined enough or intelligent enough to remember all those embarrassing instances where people didn't hold on to the ball.

So you practice holding on to the ball until you get to the end line at the back of the end zone. That's a HS thing. Blows my mind that coaches making millions ignore or overlook the small details.

@Enki_Amenra

Were you anywhere in the middle of all that in Gatlinburg/PF/Sevierville?

Seeing all kinds of content about it. Damn.
No. I went for a few hours on Friday, between 6-9p. It was pretty stupid, so I stayed out of the mess and mostly just laughed at the idiots getting stuck on the road trying to pull out of parking lots onto the parkway. . . and the 5'2" 100lb white boys with corn rows.

They should outlaw that type of modded car. It destroys the road surface, attracts people straight out of the Idiocracy cast, and hurts the image of all the other shows that come to town.

You had the most touted recruit in quite some time sit for two years to supposedly learn the system, only to look as if he’s gotten worse with each game and not better. You’ve spent upwards of $20+ million on a roster only to do nothing with it. You made one of the worst Florida teams in recent memory look like the Urban Meyer teams of old. And if I’m correct, he’s 2-2 against their fiercest rival, Oklahoma.

TX fans are not going to accept him trotting out there and getting manhandled by OU given what this team was supposed to accomplish this year. If he loses, he is most definitely going to feel a hotter seat than he has been.
That just seems crazy to me. He’s earned enough at this point to be able to fire some coordinators before answering the toll himself. They would be fools to fahr him, just based on there not being many if any suitable replacements. He’ll get them right, no reason to think he wont based on his prior years with them so far.

Barry Sanders (one of the 3 greatest RB's of all time) never dropped a ball to start celebrating in end zone. He took it directly to the officials and handed them the football and went to sideline.. Sanders acted like he had been in end zone before, something players don't do these days. More interested in doing the celebration dance.

(AI) - "dental bonding uses a tooth-colored composite resin to repair minor cracks, providing a minimally invasive and affordable alternative to crowns for small fractures, chips, and other cosmetic imperfections. The process involves applying, shaping, and hardening the resin with a light, and while it's a versatile solution for many issues, crowns offer greater durability for more extensive damage. "

Using resin depends on the size of your crack.

I had resin put in a couple of cavities and it works great, has lasted for years.

Gorilla glue might work also.*
